I am still using my iphone 6s and so does my roommate. We both feel it is good enough. I wanted to see how many people still use older phones.

S9+ so 2018.

 

No plans to replace it.

I honestly don't know (Samsung Note 9).  It works fine for me, so I'm not that worried about it.

Samsung A5 2017, with third party firmware on Android 9. (Because it's the last one that has call recording... LineageOS on android 10 doesn't have it for my device)

It does all I need my phone to do. Text, reading, youtube/netflix and web browsing. Not like I played any sort of games on the thing. Mobile gaming, ew. 🤢

 

I'd say the latest and greatest phone tech is not exactly needed for the majority of users. Like, other than those who want the best in Camera tech and maybe the "mobile gamers", who needs a Samsung S20 or iPhone 12, over literally any mid to flagship phone in the last 3~4 years, for their facebook feed and what not?

my iphone 6s is still needs a replacement screen but I love it

currently I am using a nokia 3.1c released IDK but its great so far for 100 bucks

wife and I are still using our S9s and will hold onto these for quite a few more years. We were strongly in the upgrade every 2 years with new "$0 phone with a plan" devices, but now it's just not enough change for us to need an upgrade and the features aren't even close to different enough to justify a change. 

The best gaming PC is the PC you like to game on, how you like to game on it

Galaxy Note 5 (2015), and had the Note 1 before that until the battery started not holding a long charge. I'm not impressed by any of the new phones so I'll keep this phone and then repair it (if possible) when it breaks. 3.5mm jack for life!

As of right now, sample size is small but it looks like around 2013 is when the oldest phones are still going strong. 7 years is pretty good life expectancy, I'm hoping my phone lasts a similar amount.

iPhone 7+. I don’t know how old it is.  There’s actually a strong argument for a 6s over newer phones.  I got a sister who could have the newest iPhone a month before anyone else if she wanted but she hangs onto her 6s like grim death. 

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.
