GPU driver update has ruined jedi survivor, any help?

Hello,

I am playing the above and despite it's reputation for performance issues on PC I had seemingly lucked out and go 60+fps constantly and was very happy.

The Nvidia rolled out a new GPU driver, I dutifully installed it and....now the game runs like ass. I have reinstalled the previous driver and this helps slightly but basically the game refuses to utilise my PC properly, GPU usage is low. Previously my PC sounded like a jet engine taking off playing it but I didn't care as performance was good, now it is quiet and the game runs like poo. The magic sauce has been taken from me.

I have it installed to the windows drive, have un-compressed my memory and have installed mods that apparently help performance (they do not). Is anyone aware of anything to "force" the game to utilise my hardware properly and out of interest can anyone think of a reason a GPU driver update would stop utilisation, even after rollback? If it is of any interest, in the menus the PC spins up like before, then calms down when I actually want to play!
