Hello there, I am building a pc and came across this website. It sell a microsoft windows 10 license for $25. I don't remember which youtuber recommended it, but it was... "recommended". Should it be trusted??

Short answer: No of course not. Longer one: You could get hack though back doors or the copy is Pirated. Only buy from trusted Vendors who been in the Business for awhile.

You don't need to activate windows. It does nothing if you don't. I haven't activated windows in years

The cheap keys are usually from the grey market. Unused oem licenses from cheaper countries and such. If you don't feel comfortable with doing so, you're welcome to buy the full licence. It's always 99$, unless the box itself is on sale somewhere.

 

As far as I know, you can't get a virus from an oem key. So even if you buy it on eBay (and use PayPal for security), and it doesn't work, you're only out 3$. Imo, the only reason not to do it is moral. And I think you can guess what I think.

ebay keys all the way for me. I've done it lik 15-20 times now. never an issue with windows 10 keys, windows 7 keys i've had issues with.

On one hand, you don't trust ebay.

 

On the other hand, it's literally $3 and you have paypal buyer protection.

So even assuming the worst, it's pretty much chump change and like, a coffee or two depending where you buy it.

Been down this road before. You're basically gambling. Sometimes the key will work, other times it is used already and you wasted your money. I was not so lucky with the one I purchased from a similar site. (not going to list it as I don't want even give them the negative publicity).

I would seriously trust a ebay seller with 1000+ positive feed back and hundreds sold before I trust this site.

 

The privacy policy is listed as being updated in March of 2000 but the domain was created this year...I would say they legit copy pasted some one else's privacy policy and posted it..

Buy from Microsoft, certified resellers or if you don't want to pay - do not pay at all. Even activators are better option than paying for thiefs for illegal copies.

They actually don't when it comes to redeemable codes. I have been scammed by those on eBay before and never got any money back. PayPal essentially told me "tough luck, buy from someone else next time".
