How much total storage does your PC have?

I don’t mean like free space but the total available storage space of all drives combined.

3.25TB (250GB M.2 PCIE SSD, 1TB SATA SSD, 2TB SATA HDD).

Still not enough room though 😢 

I'm probably gonna get a larger hard drive and another SSD soon.

I have 6TB total and I’m down to like 600GB of free space (because I put almost my entire Steam library on my PC) so I feel like I need to replace my 1TB WD Blue with like an 8TB WD Black.

1 TB. I only play games so I don't think I need more, I never had space issues. I'm not one of those people who fill their drives with games they never play and then cry they need more space.

When I build a new PC in a month I'll probs go again with 1 TB. I just don't understand what people fill their space with, probably porn.

Well I only put porn on my WD Blue since videos don’t require much performance to play optimally but still considering some games are 100GB+ and the OS takes up space along with other programs I’m guessing you only play a few games?

I don't install too many at the same time because it distracts you from actually completing a game. Many people have the problem that they never actually finish games and part of the problem is that we have too much choice. If I installed every game I felt like playing I would lose focus and not feel like going back to the first one.

A few days ago I finished Gears of War 4 and I didn't initially feel like playing it at all but because I try to follow this concept I ended up completing it in less than a day and it turned out to be pretty decent.

Personally, I refuse to pay for a game if I’m not going to play it. I also have a lot of games that I play occasionally but not all the time and it would be a pain in the a$$ to have to re-download them everytime. Especially games like Red Dead Redemption 2 which is over 100GB but I play it a couple times every month.

Well I guess that’s good then. If you ever need more storage you can use SATA SSDs since they’re cheaper than NVMe.

Right now 1tb nvme wd blue drive. Gave my buddy the 1tb sata ssd and 2tb seagate barracuda to get his pc build finished. 
Currently looking for a 2tb nvme to replace my 1tb nvme 

No cpu mobo or ram atm

2tb wd black gen 4 nvme 

2tb seagate hdd

Corsair rm750x 

Be quiet 500dx 

Gigabyte m34wq 3440x1440

2 TB NVMe SSD and a 2 TB HDD.

1tb NVMe - main OS here

4tb SSD - user files

2x10tb platters in a raid 1 configuration. - all my music and blu-rays

1tb SSD - old, where I load any OS I am playing with. If it dies and I lose it all I don't care.

All combined I am around 70% full.

128gb SSD - boot loader, swap, and root

2tb 7200rpm HDD - home directory

The 2tb is a refurb server drive I scored for $30. Both the motor and arm are extremely loud, like you can clearly hear it clacking away from across the room, and it vibrates the case too. It takes like 10 seconds to spin up, so that's a minor inconvenience.

it's complicated.

I'm in the process of removing ALL spinning platter disks from my.... life, as a whole. But I need to migrate the data to solid state. But I'm an expert procrastinator.

 

 

short answer. 5.2TB installed RIGHT NOW. after the formatting cut. and Some of it is RAID10 (or might be RAID01?)

Something like 2 or 2.8gb there’s a HDD in there but I’m not sure it’s attached.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.
