So far it's the best DB i've come across because it's an active system, and not a passive like all the others.

With the discussions of advance configs and what not. I started to wonder is there a way to specify what server you get WU from? Is it all a pool system, or a parent child reconciliation when the parent gets low?

 

I figured with the ability to see server stats and up times with available WU that specifying a know source would fix these idle distribution of WU to clients waiting for WU.

@GOTSpectrum thanks again spec for some good GPU advice.  I did apply the changes we talked about.  No failed units so far, however, I have been able to stay in normal queue with WU's, I havent tried beta or advanced queue yet (which is the only place it failed so far).  But whether its the improved settings or just good karma sent from you, it is folding non stop!

That's what I was wondering, this ends on Friday does it not?

Many questions but mainly: which GPU do you sacrifice, and what is the ratio of PPD boost you get per $ value of said GPU

I have an overheating 1060 with a fan that’s going bad fast.  But... it could end up hanging of a riser cable with a desk fan blowing on it if I decide I need to yell yolo.

 

i would more likely prefer to not do that, get new fans.. etc.. but I want a top 10 finish this go around.

Oh no! I fell victim to the lack of gpu WUs. I was folding when I went to bed, and it was idle when I checked it after waking up.  Not sure when it went idle, but it's a loss of at most 5 hrs which is about how long it takes for my gpu to crunch through a WU.  I just set the client-type and next-unit-percentages and restarted F@H, and I'm folding once again.

that was because my 5505 Was not running as i was using it for gaming and forgot to restart folding before bed time lol...was gaming on it as it least effected my score lol...but its been back to its ~5-600k a day generation

I am overdue for a good gaming session, I am trying to finish doom eternal but its killing my PPD when I play!

oh and dont worry i blew up the VAB about 3-4 times and the launchpad 2 times...experimental rockets for the win though Jeb survived...mostly because he was watching from a distance...remember always check your staging.

Agreed. My vega 64 hasn't seen over 1m ppd since p14201 ran dry 2 days ago.

Yep, these "117" WU are killing me this week... oh well.. new normal I guess as they keep popping up more and more.

Edit:  Might need to add a best and worst WU of the week to the PPD DB so we can pour one out to the folding gods when we get hard ones during an event.
