Folding at home stats page, you just click on either the WU or points total and it gives you the cert.

Is see in the F@H stats that there is a spike in points on sundays. Why is that? More people at home that turn on their pcs?

No, stats got broken and a lot of the points from Friday and Saturday went missing and then were credited on Sunday.

I am trying to accrue a few before I submit mine

 

 

I also wish there was a way to prove that a "did it with my own equipment" badge was possible... I know that running up AWS/Azure/Google VMs is possible and I understand that points are points, but I know most people (including me) are running this on their own hardware.

I am glad that you got that sorted. I've seen someone suggest that launchers can lock your GPU at base clock, but I haven't seen anyone call the crap out of shitty software that iCue is. And believe me when I tell you, that software brings you nothing but trouble. First good PC I built was full corsair PC and I was sooooo into RGB, and now I hit my head into wall every day when I remember that I wanted this...

 

I already complained a lot in iCUE forum, but lemme just tell you guys, if you ever use iCue, DO NOT ATTEMPT to open it if you are folding. There is 66% chance (tried on multiple different systems and system configurations) that it will lock your GPU CC to base clock. NO KIDDING, I do not know why it does that and why it doesn't lock it every time I open it, but every second or third time, it does lock it. And only reboot of whole OS can fix it. I even tried configuring Nvidia Control settings so F@H and Core 0x21 as well as 0x22 use high performance and not balanced or energy efficient, but nothing helps when iCue locks it at 1519 CC (my 1080 Ti default clock).

What has happened with the F@H job requests recently? So far I've been struggling to find 3 jobs individually per day for my CPU and GPU and today I've been sent jobs one after the other, with no downtime whatsoever. Not that I'm complaining or anything alike, but I'd like to know the reasoning behind it. IIRC, the servers that were made available from Microsoft Azure and Oracle and so on were already in place weeks ago, so it couldn't possibly be that, right?

I never have actually. Even then it was clocking at its base (as it seemed). But yes, a hard reboot and reinstalling the drivers did overcome this problem.

Why is the even actually just ‘two weeks’ - as I hVe a bad feeling people might just fold due to the ‘competition’; as sad as that is.

Under configure -> expert tab to the left column add this flag:

 

client-type 

advanced 

 

 

since I added that flag I been folding nearly fulltime, without any huge gaps waiting on jobs
