Just noticed but its ironic that a brand called Armageddon is a potential bomb. :)

I will recommend an NHu12s (or an NHd15 (maybe)) for your PC build. Quote or @ me @Prodigy_Smit for me to see your replies.

the first was sent to a reviewer, the second was the retail unit of it. The first is a decent dc-dc CWT PUQ-B, the other is a CWT GPM that can't do over 500w while being sold as an 850w.

Thanks for the info guys.

Bait and switch, what a shame. I agree, this makes you question the quality of their PSU's, and everything else they make. I hope this only effects a few units and the vast majority are what they claim, but its not worth taking the gamble.

More needs to be done to stop bait and switch, especially when it's this egregious, it's fair to say their PSU's are potentially dangerous.

Huh, Gigabyte G750H has drop from Tier A to Tier C... What went wrong?

Should I be concern? Because mine one is powering Gigabyte RX Vega 64 Gaming OC GPU, Ryzen 5 3600, 2 3.5 inch HDD, 1 2.5 inch HDD, 1 SDD, 2 2.5 inch SAS drive, 2 Blu-ray Drive, and 6 RGB fans.

Yeah, I don't want it to have a 'meltdown' if I'm going for RTX 3080 or 3090. Okay, thanks for the info, I'll have to keep an eye on the temperature then.

Well, Armaggeddon doesn't really has solid PSU, the fact that they are very similar with AVF (another brand in South East Asia) PSU. Well, in South East Asian market, these PSU can be found in cyber cafe PCs.

You know, this list and me isn't going to get friends anytime soon, I just bought a Seasonic PRIME GX-750 (the *fourth* power supply im buying in the last few months) and it's not in the list... :/

So, please tell me where would the Seasonic PRIME GX-750 (750W) likely land in this list, A, B... S

👀

PS: also, it's "single rail" (I think?) that's what I want, right? (already forgot what's the purpose of multi / single lol)

Thank you, I almost figured cause  "Gold" is listed, but yeah, not what I bought, I bought "GX"  :D

So I guess this should be fine... (for a 3070)

What are the issues with the new MSI PSU? Or is it just lacking in trusted reviews?

Looks like a reincarnation of Golden Green / King with OTP, but i can't get any info about their 'H.L.B.' bearing, so it's tier B low priority.

If the fan is decent, it's a tier B?

Just bought one of these to try out, wonder where this upcoming brand will end up on the tier list.

Once it arrives I may be willing to take it apart and take some pics if it would be helpful (depending on how the shell is attached).

If it isn't plain sleeve bearing then it would likely end up in tier A.

Looking at the changelog, next time Luke updates the post, the MSI will be moved to normal Tier A and be colored blue.

It was in low priority since there weren't any professional reviews at the time of last update.

BTW I regularly buy trash PSUs and have no issues, nor has it ever bit me in the ass.  While I love the tier list, its really awesome and helpful, some things do not make sense on it :)

It supposedly has all the protections - want me to pop it and take good pics?  I prefer facts over how I feel about something.

EDIT - the only testing I can do with it, and the plan is, to pair it with the overclocked R7 1700 @ 1.4v and a R9 Fury X at max power limit.  So pretty heavy load - if something will remove the magic smoke from the box, that will.

@Juular Where should be the MWE Gold v2 fit in this tier list?  There's seems to be quite a few upgrades over the v1:

1. Upgraded to 105C capacitors

2. Better voltage regulation

3. Lower power ripple

4. Upgraded fan

No one so far, it's just that an another buyer like you provided us with some internal shots and it's platform from some of more unknown OEMs (looks a tad like Zalman LX made by Hui Cheng, credit to @OrionFOTL IIRC) utilizing group regulated secondary topology which will all end-up in tier D unless there will be review of it showing <5% min to max voltage regulation under crossloads.

About the magic smoke, it might not show it right away, or even down some years, a bad PSU today is not just about blowing up. Even if the unit has all basic protections functioning and doesn't blow up under advertised usecases, ripple, voltage regulation and transient response are important also and you can't expect that stuff to be any good from such low-end and outdated product. And if ripple or voltage regulation (in static or dynamic load) is extremely bad it might actually show the magic smoke from your other components or they'll just start to act erratically.

A friend in Turkey recently asked me if they should buy "GamePower GP-750 " which is a brand I've never heard of before. I think it's a Turkey specific brand of a Chinese company. I had a look at the marketing materials and it screams "these specs are fake". I suggested him something else but I'm curious if it is at least C or B tier, which would be good to know since it is VERY cheap :P

Here is an internal shot I found on their website:

1645050076_gp750internal.jpg.f1a430eb768645a038000ec808647dbe.jpg5f97d01b1f0e20.94654781_leqgmnpkjfoih_500.jpg

There are some bold claims (about using japanese capacitors etc) on the marketing material, but i'm not even sure if it's DC-DC or group regulated :P

Can someone help me do a sanity check? thanks!
