Haven't seen this boy in four months

Another 9+ mile walk but this time around the Mazonia Braidwood fish and wildlife area, a former coal strip mine turned nuclear cooling pond, we hiked the trail that circles Ponderosa Lake which seems like it doesn't get much traffic. At first the dogs were a bit stymied by the lack of clear trail, it was more like a long field of grass to them where as to us it was clearly a trail because there was a width of no trees. They got into the swing of it after a bit and with new found confidence we made the 5ish mile circle in a few hours. There was some up and down but not too bad. We took a lunch break then headed over to thecooling pond to visit the one toilet in the whole place. While we were there I took them down a little dock and on the boat launch ramp where Molly tried to bite the small waves. Next we headed off to go check out an old tailing/overburden pile area and discovered a new trail which led to a dead end, but it was a nice walk in the forest anyway. It was getting later in the afternoon when we got back from that. We went over to a pork place and got them their own pork chop to share, cooked medium rare bone out just how they like it! I was a little jealous, I tried a bit and it was delicious but it was their birthday and they worked hard all day so a special treat was in order. My pulled pork paled in comparison, I'll copy their meal next time we go there.

First post in the forum, might as well be of my two goodbois. Bart is a 5 year old German Shepherd Lab mix. Roscoe is a 2 year old pit basset hound mix. Both were rescues, and both are awesome pups

Yes, but only if you want it. I don't mind it because it then helps to remind me of when I took it, and it's not intrusive being where it is.

Stumpy here carried his rawhide cigar on the whole walk last night, setting it down at 3 light poles to sniff them and only remembering to pick it back up when prompted but at least he carried it. 11 years old, first time he's done this. Started out being carried by the spindly one next to him but she only made it about 5 feet out of the house before she put it down and he grabbed it. Anytime we asked if we could have it he would shy his head away from us and kept carrying it.

My dog loves having a rawhide bone as a friend.  He carries it around with him for days before finally eating it.  It's pretty endearing

Was unable to locate the rawhide this evening, suspect someone snatched it off the low table it was set on last night and ate it during the day. Confirmed with a very off color poo from the tall dog.

Ugh, rawhide poo.  Does your dog also drink like half a gallon of water after eating one?
