I stitched that Green Pillow in arts & crafts in school in 4th grade for Jessie and she still uses it on the regular to this day ♥️

The one on the left is Jessie and she was overweight for a long time but her weight is actually fine right now. Jaba on the right is the one who is a bit overweight.

They're both Appenzeller. Jessie is a mix between Appenzeller and Bernese Mountain Dog and Jaba is a mix between Appenzeller and Border Collie.

I'm working from home this morning, snuck a pic of Murphy napping. He's almost 5 month old and was 57.4lbs yesterday. Gonna be a monster.

it happened a few weeks ago and I decided to talk about it now, me and my close friend went to the vet to put his husky (Buck) to sleep aged 14 as he had cancer spread through his whole body and was going to die at any given moment in agonizing pain, he was a sweet dog and we both really loved him, anyone that has an experience with a dog knows how soul tearing it is to lose a dog, it's like losing your one and only child, just soul wrecking, even my own dog is really sad about it because he used to play with Buck a lot and he misses him, both me and my friend miss Buck so much

 

The most devastating and soul tearing part is when we were there at the vet and were saying goodbyes to Buck, I remember having him sit on my lab while the vet was giving him the lethal injection, I remember my friend not baring to watch and was crying in the other room, And for me watching Buck just fade away and witnessing his last breath and knowing that he's gone is just really gut wrenching, At that moment I just wanted to cry but I stopped myself from doing it, and recalling these memories just makes me want to cry, I knew Buck for almost 11 years

I am not asking for attention, I am not asking for help, Just goodbye to Buck.

 

 

Yeah, it's heartbreaking... I felt the same when my Henry had to go last year. I still miss him every day, but having Dink has definitely helped me cope with it. Just remember that getting a new pet, whether it's a puppy/fostering/adopting dog, or a different pet altogether doesn't lessen how you/your friend feels/felt about Buck... he would want you to be happy.
