Car Enthusiast Club [Now Motorcycle friendly!] - First thread to 150k! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

As always, aftermarket carbon bits never fit quite as easily as you'd hope. So, bumper off to try to get it fitted, came off surprisingly easy.

Few hours and lots of test fitting and re-fitting, everything's back together and looking good.

Pulled the front bumper today to fix the horn, totally forgot to replace the busted front badge. Upgraded the parking lights, hdr mode exaggerates the color a bit.

MT N55 335i. Specifically wanted a manual and got lucky that mine came up at the right time.

I've got new brake rotors and pads to go on and a front sway bar and I'm done with modifications. Got a new expansion tank coming now because it's leaking when the cooling system's pressurised.

To my knowledge, Multimatic have produced at least a dozen GT Mk IIs to date, and at least one of them is staying in ON. :)

Still going with the 407 - haven't been on the thread for a long time because I was at university, but getting back into fixing up my car. Really nice to be out working in the summer. I've fitted a Joying HU, moved the amplifier to the boot, fixed and soldered the cabling, ran the cables under the carpet (so hard and gross).

Fixed up a couple scratches and clear coat with some touch-up. My car isn't expensive enough for a good paint job unfortunately. I'm really happy because my car hasn't looked this good in a long time. So excited on what to do next.

Also did not know my rear seats folded like that. So found a lot of yucky junk under it. I don't think any other owner found out you could do that either lol.

I'm the cheapest person in the world, so none from me, but $10 in coins from previous owners. Its the moisture that get you. Ew!

You know, sometimes what matters more is that you do what you want to and not whats probably the smart move. There can be a million reasons not too do whatever thing and just one that makes it worth it, and thats wanting to do it.

Basically i bought another motorbike 👀

Does it run? Nope

Is it in good condition? Not really

Does it hurt you? Yes

Is it modified? A bunch

Is it fall and i need to keep it over winter costing me a bunch of money? Yes

Have i wanted this exact bike for like two and a half years now? Yes.

Spoiler

2594404883.jpg?type=original

Not my picture, but this is the bike 😍

Its a 1967 CB450 somewhere bellow all the new stuff, engine swap, new forks, new seat, new rear shocks, custom alu reinforcement on the rear fender, new tank.... the list of whats not original is longer than the list of what is. The only things i think are still 67 CB450 still is the rear fender and lights, most of the frame, the swing arm and the rear rim. Hurt my foot when it finally fired on brakeclean, need to learn the kick start before i destroy the bones in my foot hahahaa. The XR500 engine will bite if you dont kick it right lol

Anyway i love this thing since the first time i saw the add for it back when i was looking for my first bike, its obv not for everyone but i like it, i wanted it, i could get it so i did :D

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

$10 seems pretty significant to find in a car lol

Trying out this new 303 Graphene hyper in a spray bottle. Super heavy on solvents, not sure I like that about it. Goes on easy, comes off easy, stinks terribly like mineral spirits or slightly worse, hoping it'll get my daily driver through winter without needing to be reapplied often. First look at the hood after a quick clay, buff, and coat it looks nice but it doesn't have that same wow 'pop' that CMX has on the same paint, Rejex has that same 'pop' with this paint as well. It's really hard to beat the old standard in a can, Colonite 476. That stuff is pretty durable but doesn't hold it's aggressive water beading for a long time, it does persist nicely though.

So can anyone give me a guess where they think this leak would be coming from in my 2003 Saab 9-3? This was after a car wash

I’ll have my guess in a spoiler
