Well looking on line he gets about 40 mil per month so about 1.3 mil a day views.

 

For money, you don't know unless you see his adsense, but about 1 dollar per 2000 views is about what i get and a consertive esimate.

 

So now were thinking about 250k a year form adsense, so a lot lower than that site says, but he also gets money from other sources. Also remember this is company income, no personal income.

It might well be that LMG has a $1.2M CAD value but that doesn't mean Linus is a millionaire. Heck I'd wager he probably pays some of his staff more than he earns himself some months. That's just the reality of being the owner/manager.

Think petabyte project and all those other tens and hundreds of thousands of dollars in tech hes been given over the last 5 or so years

No, not even close.

I estimate LMG, including business premises and all the engineering sample stuff that is technically valueless but realistically can be sold, to have probably over $3,000,000 CAD in assests, annual revenue is most likely very close to operating costs, as Linus treats his employees very well, so I'd say they make around $1,000,000 CAD a year, most of which goes on some of the stuff they have to buy, salaries and costs. I'd imagine they save about 20% of that for said projects and products they have to buy. I will not comment on what any particular employee might receive as it's an even less accurate speculation, and until LMG goes publicly listed, it's not really anyones concern.

yes, but there are occasionally times they have to buy their own as it isn't sponsored, usually the really expensive stuff is given, but sometimes they have to buy it, they usually tell you if it's sponsored, if they don't mention it, they probably bought it. 
@LinusTech Maybe you could shed some light if you see this, care to respond and dispel in awe our mighty minds about the stuff that didn't get sponsored.

A lot of tech stuff gets provided, but honestly a CPU here and a laptop there is peanuts in the grand scheme of things for an operation this size.

 

Where we really get bent over is on things like construction - all told (sets and office stuff) we've spent WELL into 6 figures on construction within our studio - and stuff like insurance, utilities, monthly property cost, and SALARIES.

 

Most of our cost is in HR because (as mentioned above, thank you for noticing) we believe in treating our employees well.

 

As for how much money we make, it's not something we disclose for reasons you can probably imagine, but what I will say is that I'm a careful spender, and LMG wouldn't be investing money it wasn't bringing in on future projects. Business is good

wow, you did respond, but yeah, it wasn't like LMG spent 4 figures on dual 22 core Xeons that ended up not being so useful as the higher clocked 8 core versions (I personally use dual Xeon servers for BOINC of all things, they don't even make me money)
