I will be fine tuning my ammo for this as I just bought some dies to do this.

Do you have a magazine floor plate? If not then you're looking for stocks that are "blind magazine" like the one from Remington or buy the parts to convert it. If you choose the Magpul route, you'll be able to make it detachable magazine fed. 

 

Harris bipod is a must, don't cheap out on it.

I was looking into bedding my Stock Stock so keep the price down so I can spend more on glass or even a new heavy barrel and some glass. It also does not have a mag on it which I am fine with that until after the competition.

Okay, well, i second a new rifle stock. the hogue is to floppy. I'd get a new trigger installed too. i never liked the x-mark series. a bipod, some shooting bags and you should be alright. I can't see the crown of the barrel so you MIGHT want to get it looked at if it's a rounded profile. You want a dead flat target crown.

If you need any pointers on reloading for long range accuracy and repeatability (anyone can sling enough lead down range and hit a target once in a while), i'd be more than happy to share what i've learned over the years. I donno about accomplished, but i'm deadly to about a mile.

But the offset iron sights got in today.  I now have nun AR how I’ve been wanting it.  I’ve been wanting a flashlight for it and I finally found one.  So yeah, this is my AR now.

How much did it cost in total? I honestly would've shilled out extra for a MOE+ grip since I cannot stand finger grooves since they NEVER fit (Reason why I'm selling my Glock 17 Gen 4 to a buddy and building a Polymer80 V2 Compact)

Personally, I like the A1 grip, with the only good grip woth a finger groove, IMO, being S&W's M&P grip.

Well guys, just picked up a 1898 US Springfield .30-40 Krag. Needs a little work with the stock but it is a good shooter none the less.

Rifle was $640, I got 3 30 round magazines and a bag for it for $15 as a kit since I bought the rifle.  The angled foregrip and iron sights cost $25 a piece, so another $50 there, and I got the Red dot for $45.  

So about $750 all together.  

 

As for the grip, I like it.  Fits my hand perfectly.

I haven't seen any M&Ps with finger grooves, which one do you have? Also thank god S&W finally got a decent trigger in the M&P 2.0, the original trigger was mush.

M&P 15. There isn't a pistol that accepts an M16A1 or A2 style grip.

Heavuly subdued ones are fine, good A2 grips are fine (specifically S&W's), but things like Hogue's overmold grip are hot garbage, IMO. Glock grips are also on the less than ideal sode for me.

It ain't just you. California is up to no good on just about every constitutional covenant they can find. In debt up to their ear-balls and act like they want to be their own country until need help from their own makings. Some of the folks there ain't bad. most of 'em are just brainwashed hippies. Northern folks know what's what. Further south you go the crazier it gets.

They did it twice in one week with saying that everyone has the right to defend themselves in public and saying California's magazine confiscation is unconstitutional.

There's crazies everywhere you go, even here in Nebraska (literally, we had a woman in that was so paranoid she believe her son was bought off, black helicopters were following her across states and that her neighbors were using the electrical wiring to spy on her WiFi, and that wasn't even all of the craziness).  Nevertheless, it is far saner in northern Cali than in the southern parts from everything I've heard.
