If you guys create a feature list, can you at least make it clear you are either selecting features that are exclusive for the platform or just every feature in general?

Because right now it's confusing, Nvidia has the NVENC encoder, fine, but AMD has an equivalent of that that's not mentioned. Also custom resolutions isn't unique to nvidia either anymore with the new big amd update.

And RTX features like DLSS aren't mentioned at all, which is a big selling point for RTX cards which is, confusing...

I think there is too big of a push on features, most people don't use ray tracing or recorded any meaningful amount of game play.

In Canada right now you can typically find the 2060 Super Mini for about the price of a 5700 XT. I bought the blower 5700 xt because it was open box (10% off) which put it $20ish more than the new 5700 the same price as the mini super (open box too) but I at least can water cool it. (tho I could have water cooled the 5700 as well but sadly the "open box" wasn't actually open ?)

Even low end 2060 supers are within a few bucks at times compared to the 5700 XT's. I would have gone green again but trying to find a water cooling compatible device w/o some jank processor only cooling from ekwb, or over spending for function turned out to be too much hassle... I also have to now order the 5700 water block from USA which is only something like $8 more ?

I'm just here to say as somebody looking for ability to play modern games while driving a 144hz monitor, a budget 5700 with a flashed vbios is crazy nice deal (290-330$)

For a used market/extreme budget person, i'd say just get a used 1070 though. (200-240$)

there is some weird inconsistencies in this video but i don't want to poke at it, however i will because linus's chin is making me angry, its soooo angular.  A 2060 isn't even comparable to to a 5700, let alone a Super version if comparing flashed 5700.  NVENC encoder is great but likewise at that price range likely one is using a CPU that can handle any sort of CPU based encoding (x264 for nvidea or x265 for amd), so this is just weird to recommend a 2060 vs a 5700 when they aren't even on same potential tier, just looking at graphics.  There are cases where this could make sense, like the 1650 Super where buying a modern card with the most recent NVENC encoder makes sense given a probable budget CPU it will pair with, somebody on such budget could use it, but a 2060 is basically like asking to get mugged, beaten, and pee-pee'd on, why and how is that a good thing?  I too am into leather, but i cannot stomach this much abuse.

Please fire linus and let anthony, james, and riley take over the channel already, linus was sensible in like 2015 but i bet he couldn't even identify a good sonic rush track if you pressed him for it these days, its sad.  Linus is like a bird who keeps picking at his feathers yet people watch him in awe, sad but fixated on him, and even if it gets clicks nobody wants to see that. Let him become a free bird!, its been too long, fly away free bird ?....i wrote all this before linus even started semi-supporting some dumb SLI none-sense despite the fact its long and dead and has been for over a year weather some stupid (always short term at best) beta Nvidea nonesense could help with it, let it rest god dangggg.  Please let him out of the cage, i am scared for him, Yvonne and the kids need him.

Hi guys, because of this video I am thinking about replacing my HD6900 and buying MSI NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1660 SUPER VENTUS XS (amazon uk: https://www.amazon.co.uk/MSI-GEFORCE-Graphics-DisplayPort-Cooling/dp/B07ZPM6WKQ/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=MSI+GeForce+GTX+1660+SUPER+VENTUS+XS+OC&qid=1578136391&sr=8-2 )

Now.. I have a pretty old PC and MSI support is not available right now. Is there a chance to check if this MSI card will be compatible with my Gigabyte P55A-UD5 motherboard?
Accordingly to : http://www.pc-specs.com/mobo/GigaByte/GigaByte_GA-P55A-UD5/1765 I should be fine?

I plan to upgrade the rest to Ryzen 3600 later this year, but I need a new GPU now :/

there is also gigabyte version:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gigabyte-GeForce-1660-SUPER-GAMING/dp/B07ZPL9LX5/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=GTX+1660+SUPER&qid=1578153027&refinements=p_76%3A419158031&rnid=1642204031&rps=1&s=computers&sr=1-1

Sadly I can't compare these two as I build my PC once every 10 years.

I have a gtx 1060 and literally can't justify a gpu purchase for like years now , see you guys in 2022!

Thats how it should be, some people upgrade sooner than need be. But if you got the money for the toys you want, than splurge!

Hi guys. I want to upgrade my PC. Last I bought this setup was over 5 years ago. I want to be able to play games like COD MW, CounterStrike, etc at reasonably good graphics while running smoothly.

Some concerns I have would be what graphics card would be best for this build, can I get install another stick of ram even if its not the same model and if its necessary to get a higher PSU?

PC SPECS:

CPU: Intel Core i5-6400 2.7 GHz Quad-Core Processor

Cooler: Intel E97379-003 CPU Cooler

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H110M-DS2 Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard

Memory: Avexir Core Series 8 GB (1 x 8 GB) DDR4-2400 CL16 Memory (Planning to get another stick)

Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive & SanDisk SSD PLUS 120 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive

PSU: FSP Group HEXA 85+ 450 W (should i upgrade and to what wattage?)

Current Graphics card: Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 3GB (what kind of graphics card upgrade fits this build?)

Technically this will be the first time I will be upgrading my PC. Previously my cousin helped me build this.

Thanks for the help guys. :D
