All the popular pants brands are removing pockets?

They think pockets aren't fashionable, they want to remove every everything from pants except for the one layer of fabric.

 

They're to get these newfangled things called fanny packs to catch on, I mean they do give you Wireless storage, but they aren't quite as reliable as regular pockets. Plus they store stuff more efficiently.

 

What do you guys think should we fight this new trend of pocketless pants?

 

Or do you think if we really want his pockets we should get pocket dongles?

1. 3.5 mm headphone jack prevents the phone to become thinner.

2. they can make more money selling bluetooth headphones, to follow the success of apple, with its 159$ airpods.

3. as bluetooth getting better and better, maybe its time to make the change. all you need is a wireless headphone charger.

Thing is, pants and phones aren't directly comparable. It's a stupid analogy, really.

I don't use headphones with my phone. So no, I don't care about the headphone jack.

I use my pockets daily. So yes, I care about them.

 

They're in no way related.

That said, a fanny pack or bag would hold more gear anyway. So. It's better than pockets.

I use the headphone jack still in my semi. As the Bluetooth still lags way to much for my liking. Plus my phone is paired to my Qualcomm via Bluetooth so I can send and receive messages hands free.

Aw crap. Well....I like having only one front pocket. I cut the other one out as it's easier to play pocket pool without it.

Wireless is the future the problem I have is the hissing, buzzing, and noise from wireless headphones. All of them I have tried have something audible

Pockets I do like, since you know I keep my phone and wallet in them. Headphones I have an adapter if I want a wired one otherwise I'm mostly wireless now

I like pockets and headphone jacks.  Pockets are great for carrying things.  My car doesn't have bluetooth, so I need the jack to plug in my aux cable.

That's just a bad metaphor. Your poll shows you are just salty about the jack and you downright refuse to understand *why* this is happening. 

 

I'm no apple fanboy, and when they removed it, I thought it was stupid, especially since they put a goddamn humidity sensor there or whatever. 

 

Then I got my jaybirds X3, while still using my Nexus that had the jack. And it was awesome. I didn't use the jack at all and didn't and still don't mind it's absence on my pixel.

 

Using wired feels like going back to the stone age. Wireless is so much more comfortable and convenient, especially with rising battery life and reducing prices. You can get super awesome wireless buds for 50$ these days, easy. 

 

No. There's no delay. No, the audio doesn't cut.

 

Now I get it, there are some people who have mid range headphones that are wired and are stuck, and I feel for you. But that's no reason to hold the industry back. 

 

Look at what OnePlus did, for example. They added a significant amount of battery instead. It's just more important these days!

 

Like I said. I'm no apple fanboy, but I'm glad they paved the way for good, cheap wireless. If you gave it a true chance, maybe you'd agree too.

im not a headphone user and only time i use my headphone is doing audio critical work on my pc. that being said, i hate the trend of no headphone jack for top tier expensive phone, while they still keep it for peasant tier cheap phones.

why everybody post the spec of their rig here? i dont! cuz its made of mashed potatoes!
