bleedblue reacted to Commodus in [Updated] According to the WSJ Nintendo have started production on the 2 rumoured new Switch models - New Image?
It's a $300 game console meant for everyone from 6-year-olds to 96-year-olds... I'm not sure what you were expecting, a glass back and stainless steel Joy-Cons?

It feels just fine; it doesn't creak or otherwise feel cheap.  And I'd rather, y'know, have fun playing games on the Switch than fuss over material choices.  Radical concept, I know!

Best bet right now is to wait for actual benchmarks.  Even though it's looking really good for a ryzen build (personally excited because I'm ready too) we don't know what Intel will do or how long it will be before Gen4 PCIe is necessary (if current PCIe is not a bottle neck for the next 4-5 years then spending money on gen 4 now is kinda wasted).

Seagate bought Samsungs HDD division back in 2011.

Found the original source for the image and the date of manufacture on the HDD is 2015, well after Seagate acquired Samsung. Even has the website for seagate.com on it above the samsung logo.

So, no. Not as stupid as you might think.

    At 1080p?
Aside from what was mentioned above, have you checked thermals?

I doubt you'd get 80-100fps though, even a desktop 1050ti can maintain just above 60fps at 1080p High settings.

bleedblue reacted to LukeSavenije in Ryzen 3000 to get a soldered IHS
    Sources: Guru3D, @Stefan Payne

Some news from the AMD front today. AMD Ryzen 3000 series processors will feature a soldered integrated heat spreader (IHS). This comes at no surprise as the previous AMD Ryzen processors also featured a soldered IHS. A soldered IHS for the heat dissipation of the processor overall is better than using paste. Intel only uses soldered ihs for their current high end 9th gen processors.

This has been confirmed by Robert Hallock (Senior Technical Marketing of the CPU/APU part of AMD)

This sounds good from one side, as paste is generally worse, but delitting will be a bit harder now.

I haven't used JS in a while, but I'm fairly confident that's how you reference those values.

Newest addition to budget flagship killers Redmi K20 Pro and its little brother Redmi K20 have been launched in China, Beijing:

    https://www.techradar.com/news/xiaomi-launches-redmi-k20-and-redmi-k20-pro-in-china

Most noteworthy features of new devices are OLED displays, all-screen design thanks to the pop up camera, AUDIO JACK, 6GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage for base models. The K20 Pro also has newest and greatest Snapdragon 855 chipset, while less powerful K20 has Snapdragon 730 chipset. Both devices feature 4 000 mAh batteries and quick charge capabilities – 27W for K20 Pro, 18W for K20.

    Prices start at 2 499 Chinese Yuan ($361 / €323) for K20 Pro and 1 999 Chinese Yuan ($289/€259) for K20.

That's very competent price for device with flagship Snapdragon chipset and OLED display, but it does leave me wondering about successor to Pocophone F1. I just don't see how Xiaomi could release F2 without destroying sales of K20 Pro. With that said, it absolutely tears yet another hole in Swiss cheese-like bottom of OneMinus

Funko Pops specifically are fugly, so hell no. But, I have thought about other decorative objects. I've wanted to do a case mod with a theme beyond just filling it with RGB, and in that sense it would be a part of that.
