We have to do a short drama monologue for school, each with different emotion as a focus. I chose "fear". I have never been interested in horror, or anything like that, so I decided it would be fun to try. I came up with this and it scares me.

Quote

Have you ever felt that feeling of pure fear? The one that makes the word “nightmare” sound friendly? The one that rips straight through your body, wraps its hands around your lungs and slips its cold, spiny fingers into your soul. The one that grabs each half of your brain and pulls it apart, blowing ice-cold air through the gap in between. The one that makes death more appealing than the alternative. Make you want to scream and explode into millions of pieces. It’s pain, it’s sorrow, it’s sadness, grief, loneliness. The whole shebang. Fear. Fear. Being in a dark black metal-plated room full of spiders, spikes shooting up from the floor. Impaling your feet. The spider creeps it way into your mouth and down your throat. And then another. And another. There are so many and your hurting so much you can’t stop it. You can’t breathe because your lungs are full of little sets of eight legs pitter-pattering around. Twitching, itching, squirming. Biting. It hurts. It’s scary. The room is filled with nothing but spiders and spikes, and they keep squirming into your mouth and you can’t stop them. It’s hurting. It’s hurting a lot. Eventually you feel a pang and you fall onto your back and one burrows a hole in your chest and climbs out. It walks up to your face and looks you in the eyes. Another one climbs out, tugging at your flesh with its little spider feet. It goes up your shirt. Another one goes into your pants. The pile up and fall over and climb back up. Even the coldness of the floor feels like a hug now. They climb up the walls and spin webs, dangling from little threads. There's 3 of them now, hanging from the ceiling. There at the height of your face. Close your eyes. Picture it. The sounds. The sensations. The fear. I know you want to because as scary as it is there is a little part of you that is curious. It’s dying to know. Hehe. There’s more hanging from the ceiling now. They climb out of you and up the walls and then waltz down from the ceiling by their little threads. You look up and all you see is spiders, sliding, slithering down. You know those little beaded curtains that go over doors? Imagine that. But spiders. The whole room now is filled with spiders dangling from the ceiling. Their angry and rustling over each other. There big but not too big. About the size of your fist. The room elongates, forming into a rectangle. A hallway. But still all cold, hard metal. It’s long now, and you know there’s and end to it but you can’t see it. It’s at the other end. You can see a faint light through the spiders. You walk forward, but there are so many spiders swinging from the ceiling you have to use your hands to push them out of the way. 20, 25 at a time. Some of them just swing away when you push them, climbing onto other spiders. Some of them fall off, landing on your pants and your feet. Some of them jump. Some of them just fall off their strands onto your hand. They stick and you can’t shake them off. You flick them and pick them off your hands. They leave little red marks. But they keep coming. More and more. You can’t see anything but the spiders. They start to flop onto the floor and pile up. Soon your waist high in a pool of spiders. Rustling. Creeping. With every step you step on a bunch of them and feel them crackle and squish under your feet, your shoes and pants filling with dead spider. Big ones. Their blood and juices spilling out of your clothes. Now there higher. Up to your chest. Sqack. Sqack. They’re around your neck now. You can feel them. Their hairy bodies, their legs. All over. In your clothes. Some dead. Some alive. More dead. The noise is like TV static. It’s getting so loud it’s overwhelming. There over your head now. You are over your head in a pool of spiders. Every step you take a few work themselves into your mouth. Chew. Swallow. But their coming so fast you can’t close. It. Your mouth is stuck open and with every step you take spiders scuttle in. You feel several of them crunch as you try to close your mouth with no luck. Soon, your feet lose traction and you fall over, spiders crumbling under your weight, their severed limbs and heads tumbling around under your clothes. There is at least 2 feet of spiders on top of you now. You try to scream, but with all the arachnids in your mouth you can’t. They just flop out of your mouth, dead and soaked in saliva. They’re pushing on your skull, their little feet making holes in your head, plucking out pieces of your brain. They move on to your neck, making holes, pulling out flesh. Same on your chest. Belly. Legs. Picture it. How do they feel? What do they sound like? That’s the kind of fear I’m talking about.

What do you think? I want it to be super good. Thx.

Starts of interesting, but I couldn't finish it, my eyes hurt. It's not a jab or anything, they literally hurt. Please format with paragraphs and stuff.

I would highly recommend formating this piece with paragraphs as currently it looks like one long wall of text, it's quite difficult to read.

The content itself from the skim I went through looks good, but spliting up your piece into sections would make it a tad more legible.

Tell you what I’m not usually afraid of spiders, but when I went to Rarotonga, picture me about 8pm, 6 beers and a prime slice of tuna deep. Shit you not a spider the size of a fucking plate is handing around on the wall. Not too fussed, until everyone else starts freaking out, so I get a little scared (I have a phobia of tiny creepy crawlies - it’s the little ones that will get you). So I have a little scream, but I swiftly remove the offending spider.

then in the middle of the night my sister thinks it’s fucking funny to wake me up by imitating a spider walking over my face, and me having the highest pitch scream of my life.

Maggots are probably more scarier. Have had plenty of nightmares about them.

The bugs that creep me out most are the sewer roaches I used to have problems with until I figured out how to eradicate the not so little buggers (I swear, you could throw a saddle on them and ride them). When I saw one in the house, I couldn't sleep until I found and killed the little monster (after peeling myself off the ceiling first).
