too bad that an efficiency label says nothing about how reliable the power delivery is.

there are even platinum powersupplies that should be avoided due to their protectionset and regulation.

and id pick a post march MWE 80+ white V2 over many bronze efficiency powersupplies, and potencially some gold ones aswell.

    1. Efficiency rating does not equal the quality of the power supply. Disregard this advice. Just do research on individual units

    2. 4c/8t is on its way out. I'd rather have a CPU with more cores that will last longer and provide better performance for things besides gaming. With the tier of GPU OP is considering there won't be a bottleneck anyway

    3. Depends. A 5600XT is still plenty powerful for 1080p and that money could be better spent on things like the GPU and a non-crap case or motherboard

    4. Agreed

    5. While an expensive case is most certainly a luxury, a shitty case dampens the whole experience. They’re loud, don’t cool well and are a nightmare to build in. Of course, there are good cheap cases. You just have to do some research

    6. Many cases don’t support that, and certainly not cheap cases. 1 or 2 fans at the front and 1 or 2 fans for exhaust are just fine.

    7. Ryzen 3rd gen isn’t really worth OCing with PBO. Port selection and connectivity is more important here.

UserBenchmark is not accurate. Good for a very broad ballpark but useless for directly comparing GPUs in the same general tier.

PSU calculators are not accurate. If you’re not sure make a post in the PSU section here and someone will be glad to help out.

I’d just use a simple unigine benchmark. Unless they are willing to get a large game and sit there all day with each card.

One would assume that the hinge design limits the display movement to a designed maximum. If the internal cables can't handfle that then either them or the hinge isn't correct for the application.

What I'm really excited for is AI AI. Most racing games suck if they're not online, and many FPS games have awful AI that just make it a rinse-and-repeat exercise.

This is an awesome demo. Imagine if you got a bunch of soldiers and had them run airsoft games where they play like they would in a combat situation. If you get enough data from them you could use that to teach an AI to think and react like them.

    > Put some money away for a rainy day. The rain will come again, and there may or may not be stimulus then. Dropping $4K into something that's going to be nearly worthless in 5-10 years isn't a wise financial decision. If you must upgrade, you could temper it back to half the price, and still have a nice setup.

Yes.  You want to end wide-scale lockdowns once and for all?  You need extensive contact tracing so that infected people can be quickly isolated and prevent the virus from getting out of control.  Again, this doesn't mean that agencies should have carte blanche to violate privacy, but insisting on an all-or-nothing approach that threatens thousands of lives and prolongs lockdowns?  No thanks -- I'm not going to send legions of people to the hospital out of stubbornness.

And to follow on your reply to xtroria... people make sacrifices for total strangers all the time.  You avoid having more than one or two drinks before you drive because you don't want to risk hurting someone.  You pay taxes for services that you never use because they ultimately help everyone.  I don't know about you, but I find that making a small (emphasis on small), temporary sacrifice to privacy is worthwhile if it means that thousands more people still have parents, partners and children when this is all over.

And not to turn this into a virus thread, but the consequences of the virus go well beyond dying.  You can end up with permanent lung damage.  People have lost limbs due to complications.  And even if you don't go to hospital, you can spend weeks fighting what feels like the worst fever you'll have in your entire life.  If you don't mind inflicting that kind of suffering on others simply because you don't feel like using an app, go ahead and be intransigent.

Regional pricing is due to MASSIVE income
    disparity across the globe.

There are countries where someone making a somewhat decent local wage earns less per year than an American living on basic assistance.

Regional pricing is also in large part designed to reduce piracy in those countries, as without it, very few would be able to afford buying games.

In theory regional pricing shouldn’t need to exist. But it’s a good solution to a real problem.

Besides, if regional pricing was eliminated, prices wouldn’t be the low regional pricing. It
would end up being significantly more expensive for those countries with low incomes.

Sure it might drop a bit for Europeans and Americans, but not by much, and it would ensure that most low income countries would not be able to afford new games anymore.

I would imagine you could just do a screen recording or a sound recording or anything like that. Turn on RTX Voice on your output device and play whatever video or audio you want. Then you'll have a recording with RTX Voice. Likely not so great for pure quality but it should work.
