Don't go SSHD. Go HDD or SSD. I've seen SSHD's fail much more than HDD's or SSD's. and if the SSD part burns out, the HDD part goes along with it.

Please list all of your system specs, and check thermals on your system.

If you shut it down for say, 15 minutes, then power it back up and get back on, does it run fine, or is it now slow all the time since the 5 minutes ago mark?

Just as it's too early to say how good or bad Ryzen will be, 4 months could be too early for you to say you don't want it. If Ryzen comes out cheaper and on par or better than the 9900K would you stick with 9900K for Intel's brand loyalty or pay less for something equivalent or better? Obviously, if Ryzen isn't as good, then don't go for it. But it's too early to say Ryzen will be an Intel 9900K killer just as it's too early to say it won't.

So why not buy a newer processor if it's cheaper and better/same? The 9900K is currently about $480 USD+, plus the cost of the MB. AMD boards generally cost less, and even if the processor is $400, it's $80 cheaper plus cost of the MB. Too many variables to say anything about pricing or performance.

...That is unless there would be a reason to stick with Intel over AMD if AMD offered something cheaper and competitive. My 2 cents, so I'll shush now.

Keep your receipts for the power line adapter. I've never had good experience with one.
Your ping is definitely from the relay of boosters/range extenders. If the power line doesn't work, then definitely go with Ethernet.

Yeah, let's just continue the cycle, because why would we want to discourage such action in the future? Anyone who adopts that mindset IMO deserves to lose their money.

You can undervolt the CPU. Repasting helps more though, Asus isn't known for good factory thermal paste.

I've only destroyed MSI boards of my own incompetence in the early days of learning how to overclock (by overclocking improperly). In my experience comparing other companies products, MSI has a far superior customer service capability than ASUS, Gigabyte, etc. ASUS probably having the worst. They have a good reputation for build quality etc... But in the event *if/when* something goes wrong, their customer service is a damned nightmare to deal with. Gigabyte is in the middle, and I've never had any experience with ASRock

It does sound like bad luck having both a bad CPU and bad MB. Are you experienced at building or is this your first time?

As others have said, RMA the board anyways and sell it to recoup some of the cost of the new board you're going to purchase.

No, for the cost of using a data recovery service, he can pay for the SAME software they will use, and be able to use it again in the future if he ever needs it. There are options, but paid software is the best IMO.

If a electric truck made the same power and range with the same towing complicity what is the difference besides saving money on fuel?
    Supercharger, yes, V8 no.

you can recreate the supercharger sound by using straight gears which makes a gear whine sound. (reverse gear in most cars are straight)

Another possibility would be to give speeding more severe of a punishment.
Here in Switzerland you get fined the moment you go over 3km/h, maybe they should start removing your license for an entire month if you go over 5km/h?
The same should happen to everyone that goes too slow, since those are just as much of a liability to the entire commute.

Go over 10km/h? Bye license for 1 to 2 years.
Go over 15km/h? Bye license for life.

Start going no tolerance on fuckers that simply do not respect traffic rules, speeding tickets are too lax in the EU, and in Switzerland as well.

If everyone would drive at the speed the locations allows you, there would be a lot less traffic, specially in highways with idiots going fast and slow as hell, forcing people in-between to brake causing traffic jams...and don't get me started on those goddamn mofos that hug the left and middle lane instead of prioritizing the right lane...

I have a 320 horse power car, this car even broke several records in a race track and is specially amazing for mountain passes, if I wanted I could go insane but I respect everyone instead.

You can put all the tech you want, that won't fix people's stupidity on the road, so the only solution is to start banning them from the road in a temporarily or permanent manner (depending on severity), only that way those idiots will learn.
