Recovering data from deleted partition

Hey, I got myself in huge trouble by accidentally deleting the partition with the most important data on my machine. I used the "diskpart" command on cmd and only deleted the partition, I did not clean the drive. Anyway, I need help to either recover the partition or to recover the data. I tried using MiniTool Partition Wizard to recover the partition, but it does not detect it. I also tried EaseUS Partition Recovery 8.5, but when selecting the disk, it says it does not support GPT, Dynamic or bad disks. I also tried running MiniTool Data Recovery, but it only finds 86MB of hundreds of GB I had. This partition had irreplaceable, extremely important files, so, recovering it is crucial. I'll take any suggestions.

Data recovery service is your only bet there

There is free software like recuva, but the best software (if it's really that important) would be Seagate tools. Their recovery software is expensive, but definitely worth it. It'll cost you $80 to get Geek Squad to do it, so I'd put that money towards good fully functional software. The issue with a lot of "free" versions is you get a taste of the software but then have to pay when it comes time to actually recover.

No, for the cost of using a data recovery service, he can pay for the SAME software they will use, and be able to use it again in the future if he ever needs it. There are options, but paid software is the best IMO.

I mean... Thats assuming the software he buys even works.

 

Which, SeaTools/Seagate Tools is amazing. But, its not flawless.

Not flawless, but I have had it work on any drive that could power on. Used it in "industry" for over a year. Acronis is ok, but have definitely had issues with it myself.

I'm now trying the demo. If it finds everything, I'll buy it. I won't lie, paying that much for a piece of software might hurt, but some things are worth more than money.

You could try using Recuva. I'm not sure if it's built for this sort of thing, but it's worth a shot. Do a custom install so you don't install any programs you don't want.

I also haven't formatted the free space, would there be a way of simply restoring the partition?

Recuva doesn't allow me to select the drive, only partitions. As I don't have the free space formatted into a partition, I can't use it.

Normally, the softwares linked above (Acronis's disk director/seagate's) should let you find a partition that was deleted through their GUI.

 

You could also try TestDisk, which is free.

No, you'll have to recover it to an additional storage drive, THEN, you can rebuild the partition. Don't recover to the same drive you're recovering from.

Actually, as long as the deleted partition isn't overwritten by new partition, MiniTool Partition Wizard could recover it as well as the data. It's better to post a screenshot of the disk layout in MiniTool Partition Wizard or Windows Disk Management.

The free edition does allow you to recover partitions, however, it just doesn't detect the one I want.
