NASA Under fire from conspiracy theorists after disconnecting live feed showing 3 UFOs

yes. theories are what we get when something has substantial evidence.

fermi paradox is more of a hypothesis.

but to me it makes a lot of sense. we just recently started broadcasting signals from earth, they take YEARS to reach anything, it would take YEARS to get signal back, not to mention all kinds of stuff is going on in the universe that might distort our signals so badly no one could recognise them.

speed of light is very slow for distances in the universe.

The fact that it makes sense makes it even less valid to my eyes. Take quantum mechanics for example. Pretty much everything used to make sense in physics and now we just understood how fucking weird the Universe really is. Also the speed of light limit has been "proven" even by us that can be overcome (see Alcubierre Drive). Also there are wormholes and a whole lot of other shit we probably don't even know about yet. Besides, this kind of thinking really grinds my gears, because it will not move us forward. It is like some people that say: give up trying to find the origin of the Universe and shit, you will never make it. To all these people I can only give a banana and let them go back to climbing trees. Pretty much everything we have ever achieved as a species is out of our curiosity about our existence and not specifically trying to create new stuff.

even if warp drive is legit, we would need to warp fairly close to a planet to actually see what's going on there real time, which would mean we would have to keep guessing planets and the further away we go the more guess work it would require.

man it is likely that there is life on other planets right now, but fermi paradox is the realisation that it's almost impossible to find it.

some serious breakthroughs would need to happen for us to even leave our own planet.

it is likely we will never even explore our own galaxy. getting to another galaxy is just wow.

So it can't POSSIBLY be space junk, other satellites, bits and chunks of asteroids (or space rocks, because that sounds cooler), camera faults, EMI (or those sun flares)...

Again with that thinking we are indeed never gonna make it. But remember, it was just like 100 years before we set foot on the Moon that we were fighting with fucking swords! And also, if you ever told someone from back then that we would go to the Moon, they would look at you weird. Anyway, thinking why things can't happen instead of why they can is just not a heathy way of thinking.

I don't think it was a UFO but there has been some seriously questionable incidences in the past involving NASA.

Quick thoughts on system: I7 is extremely quick and I'm glad I spent the extra for hyper-threading. I regret my decision to get the GTX 970, it has horrible coil whine. There isn't any excuse for this terrible whine I and others are having. I HIGHLY recommend a 144hz monitor. Future Improvements/upgrades: Rubber fan mounts, basic speakers, more ram (for a total of 16gb), replace GPU.

144hz is love. 144hz is life. I like to submit unfinished posts then do about 20 edits. I like the Night Theme too.

It seems the notion that we are somehow special or the center of the Universe or that there is a "creator" is still incredibly strong in you, as in many others.

Let go of these notions entirely and Earth becomes a planet which had a surface that spontaneously could become alive.

 

Look around you and you will see proof that the the matter and energy of the Universe can become alive by itself. And even if you say - the chances of that happening again is like winning the lottery - remind yourself of the number of chances involved - the Universe is absolutely filled with life.

 

Self-aware life however is another question, and it might be that it always has a very short lifespan.

 

 

Regarding the OP - ye ofc its pure bullshit. No non-Earth life has visited Earth during our human species here.

I'm talking about other carbon based life forms that we call aliens.  The ones walking our planet like a MIB movie I find complete bs.  But, I'm not going to rule out the possibility of other carbon based life forms out there.  I really don't feel we are alone, but still there is no scientific law on the matter.

I like to think there is life out there. But im the kind of person which if I don't see it with my own two eyes well, there is more important things to think about. Im all up for aliens and shit lol good or bad but I don't dwell on it. Chances are I will be dust or bones by the time the world get 100% proof of alien life outside our planet. You're confusing empirical evidence with a theory. The Earth orbiting the Sun is not a theory, we have observed it. For example Relativity is a theory and while it works for now, maybe in the future we'll find cases where it doesn't.

As long as your realize how much confidence that "no solid evidence" should inspire.

From a scientific perspective it is entirely plausible that we have infact been visited by aliens previously; as the universe is at a constant rate of expansion our galaxy is the one of the youngest there is. The oldest galaxies would be those that were first to be created in the aftermath of the Big Bang and it is entirely possible that those glaxies contain or once contained life much like our own with much more advanced techology and scientific developments.

Science would probably disagree with you. The earliest galaxies there wasn't enough heavier element to create planets. That actually might be a limiting factor in the creation of alien civilization. A better argumet would be a star from the centre of the galaxy, but this too is flawed with the levels of radiation and other hazards.

I mean it makes sense, we still have tribes on Earth that we haven't contacted yet due to the fact that they were violent to people who tried to make first contact, I see a similar situation happening with aliens. Not saying they do, but it would make sense if they monitor us, just like how we monitor these tribes to see if they are able to integrate into society or accept help from the outside world. Not to far fetched once you think about it logically.

There is a 3-part video (each about 8 minutes in length) done by an engineer having worked for defense aeronautics, etc. (listen to his resume at the beginning of part 1, if you care to.  I highly recommend watching all 3 parts), who shows rare footage shot from a helicopter and shown on TV the morning of 911.  This guy's 3-D recreation of the whole scene, along with superimposing the NBC TV video, reveals some fantastic analysis.
