Ammo Can Speaker #02

I recently finished my prototype ammo can speakers and my friend had asked me to make another one when I started my prototype back in 2012. Now that I know what parts I need to use, and the method to ensure quality, I’ve taken it upon to surprise my friend with their very own ammo can speakers as they probably forgot about the project as it has been 2-3 years.

I will post pictures tomorrow when I start to drill out the holes. For now I have posted pics of the prototype to give some idea of what i will be doing.

Parts:

·      800 CRTG 5.56 ammo can

·      2x 4” Kicker CS speakers

·      2x50watt Amp

·      Tamper-proof LED on/off power button

·      2500MaH 11.1v 3s Lipo battery

·      Liop Battery charger

·      Bluetooth receiver

·      Wires

·      Foam

Mods:

·      2x 4” holes for speakers

·      1x ½” hole for power button

·      Weld 4” cutout inside for battery pocket

·      Paint Maroon and White

·      Drill screw holes for speaker and amp

Regardless, I'd like to see how this turns out.

  • 4 weeks later...

between mix up with getting the correct tools, I finally made time to work on this project. All that is left is to buy the screws, nuts, and a drill bit for the screws. this part will be the easiest because using a hole saw to cut steel has its own issues. but for now, here are the pictures. Enjoy!
