What the the 1180+?

Usually the 'ti' edition comes way later

perhaps its similar to the 1070ti or cards with aftermarket coolers?

This makes me wounder is AMD going to release something around this time frame too, because if not I don't see a big need for Nvidia to release new faster cards if their is nothing that competes with them.

I don't want to see Nvidia release something and just smash AMD on the whole line up. that could skew market share a lot which would be really bad.

It could also mean a version with faster or more ram but no change to die or clock. or it could also be a high clocked version.

May be titan type release? The ti seems to have been released the following year, based on the titan chip.

A plus model would most likely be exactly that: same die but binned.

AMD doesn't have anything till next year unless they've hidden something very well.

I thinks it is just after market coolers as the founders additions are usually released around a month before.

I'd be guessing the AIB cards. They usually come along later, with the Founders Edition getting some prime time.

Wow, I can't believe someone would actually write a corporate letter in a way.

It actually doesn't sound very professional. Also it was plainly written without the usual corporate BS phrases.

I think whoever wrote it just based off the dates from the usual release time-frame Nvidia has had.

Salt much.

You can bark like a dog, but that won't make you a dog.

You can act like someone you're not, but that won't change who you are.

Finished Crysis without a discrete GPU,15 FPS average, and a lot of heart

How I plan my builds -

Spoiler

For me I start with the "There's no way I'm not gonna spend $1,000 on a system."

Followed by the "Wow I need to buy the OS for a $100!?"

Then "Let's start with the 'best budget GPU' and 'best budget CPU' that actually fits what I think is my budget."

Realizing my budget is a lot less, I work my way to "I think these new games will run on a cheap ass CPU."

Then end with "The new parts launching next year is probably gonna be better and faster for the same price so I'll just buy next year."

the dates are so close to each other, why don't they release all models at once. I mean i would get if there were manufacturing issues or something but i doubt a month would serve any purpose. I'm looking for a 1170 depending on price

The email is phrased like Gamer Meld usually talks, it may even be made by him. Does anyone have an algorithm that can recognize that?

Even with the anomaly with the Sunday release that letter is faker than Pamela Andersons tits.

Just read through it, it's written in the way a teenager would talk, and not even an intelligent teenager.

I call major B/S.

This supposed "e-mail" just rehashes all the rumors that have been floating around verbatim, such as "we have an overstock of 10 series GPU's".

This does not read or sound like an e-mail between professionals (although professionals can be surprisingly "unprofessional" in their e-mails sometimes).  Not so much in style, but rather in substance. This is not how business partners would talk about delaying a product launch to each other.

"Yes we were making the 11 series but now we have to go back to the 10 series because you know the overstock Nvidia made us do it it we are producing the 10 series again you will see a small price dip" 9_9

And gamescon in cologne Germany(happens towards end of August) is the most likely place where new gfx cards will get announced at, if the letter is true.

Rock On!

Agree, this is a phone call conversation, or even a lunch/coffee discussion, not an email.

Grammar and spelling is not indicative of intelligence/knowledge.  Not having the same opinion does not always mean lack of understanding.
