So guys, what is it that introduced you to the world of gaming?

First introduction for me where those little flash games & CD based kid games, started with thoseback in about 2005-2007.

Looking back some of them are surprisingly decent, might be nostalgia speaking :P

Started on an my mom & grandmothers Windows XP laptops, got my own laptop in 2008ish with Windows ME.

From there I basically kept mainly using PC to game, but during the sixth & part of the seventh generation of consoles I did mostly use those.

Oh yea and the infamous TL;DR:

Flash & CD Games for kids.

Not learning games ftr, although I "played" those :D

When the PC is acting up haunted,

who ya gonna call?

The original PlayStation and my Game Boy Advance. I played my PlayStation constantly to the point where I destroyed my first one, and my uncle had to give me his old one.

Age of Empires 1 loaned from the local library. Back when games were like 80$ (CAD) a pop, in 1998-ish dollars.

Either the GameBoy (original) my dad purchased in the mid or beginning of the 90's, or the PC in the living room and some Power Rangers game on it.

I have vague toddler memories of my Dad's Genesis with Madden and Sonic on it.  However, how I really got into games and what left the imprint for me was the N64 which came with Starfox 64 and my dad also got Goldeneye 007.  Damn my old man had good tastes...

Might and Magic VI: The Mandate of Heaven

It’s still an incredibly fun game to this day. It’s an old RPG sandbox game with enormous dungeons and hordes of monsters. You control a party of 4 adventurers. You can use amazing spells that conjure meteor showers, teleport you or even allow you to fly.

Suppose my first console was the gameboy color.

I remember also seeing games like ut99 and half life multiplayer and being fascinated, but I was always more into electronics in general than games and it was really more about the online aspect of them.

First computer was the IBM thinkpad 380xd. That's more important for my start with gaming than anything else I think.

muh specs

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it.

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff.

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

Honestly? Probably my dad since he always had some sort of flight sim installed. Afterwards, I would say it was older cousins and relatives that got me hooked.

I started playing games on the SNES my family had, then I played games on a Wii once we got one, bu I wasn't really into gaming and would rather play outside. Around 2011 we got a ps3 and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood was the first game we got for it. That really pulled me into gaming. I grew out of gaming a few years ago though and barely will play any games any more. There are just so many other things that take my attention and are more interesting to me.
