It's your version of the code I am using.

Interesting, I modified @danielocdh's code earlier to support Linux FAH as well as a use case for supporting different ports and it seems to work. Might be that they updated the spacing in the PyON response to act more like the Linux FAH?

When I updated F@H I got errors, switched back to the old version and it worked again. I know nothing about Python I just used google to find out how to set it up and run the script.

my issue with running SLI on air was huge temps in the top card (as most people experience).  I am about to make a loop for that reason.  My bot GPU was fine, but the top was constantly throttling.

It was so bad that 1x 2080ti was getting me around 2.8-3 mil, and 2 x 2080ti were getting me 3.5-3.7 mil.  No joke.  There was just no room to breathe with it.

yeah 1 possible issue with the asus is its soooo close to the PSU...once my meshify comes in calc will move to it.  bender will move to the corsair and then flexo will get the focus G mostly due to space for the dual video cards to breathe. but will see what a repaste will do.

Seems same everywhere.  I am off from work this week and next, so im not there babysitting it (and havent set up remote desktop).  It hasnt done a WU in days, I am assuming it is just sitting in 4 hour refresh cycles from not having any.

My home rig IS getting them, but only when I obsessively refresh it.

Well let's call this one CLC Madness 🤪

Only managed 4.3GHz on the 212 EVO in fold9 which appeared to hit it's wall at 120W on the 9900k so I picked up a 280mm EVGA CLC and a Meshify S2 to house it in. This necessitated a big hardware swap moving fold8 out of it's Define 4 into fold9's old Define S and swapping around power supplies so this one has a Corsair tx750m now.

Now the 9900k will sit at 4.7GHz 24x7 and when folding on 12 threads runs at 72-78C on the cores. Yes, I know I can probably get more out of it but this is good enough for me.

I don't know why people complain about the EVGA 140mm fans. I can't hear them over the iPPC3000's 😁

Ah it seems I'm nicking all your GPU work units then.  I've been over 90% fed the last few days with some prodding.

Out of boredom...Built a 4th rig for F@H, under $630 everything but a monitor (have a spare) R5 3600 and a Radeon RX 580 8gb, to buy or not to buy!

Updated @danielocdh's BabySitter script a bit more to try to handle the oddities that are springing up in 7.6.9 and Linux FAH Control

I posted this in the emergency COVID Response Thread, but there were people talking about it here too.

For now here's a private gist that I've been updating so that people can reference the latest version GitHub gist

If I prod the main rig a bit I can get it going, but still overall I am at 25-30% of where it was when it was going full bore.  Ive just had too many honey-do projects at home (although it has been fun doing them) to refresh 2 PC's non stop.  Its a good problem to have!

It's your version of the code I am using.

When I updated F@H I got errors, switched back to the old version and it worked again. I know nothing about Python I just used google to find out how to set it up and run the script.

Thanks for talking about the baby sitter.. here is before and after ell me if you see a difference its hard to see...

HEY there Im supposed to have the loudest rig why you challenge me so much...

It’s actually fairly quiet once I dialled the fans down to 1300rpm or so.  Just a tad louder than the 2 it will sit beside once I’ve finished benching it.

With CLCs on the GPUs the case fans don’t have to work as hard as the bottom card isn’t cooking the upper and the blowers on the GPUs run fairly slowly as they only have to keep the VRM and memory cooled.

So I have a quick question.  How are people putting up such great score per work unit? I am seeing folks getting 3-4 million score in ~100 work units, and I barely cleared 1,000,000 score in 100 work units.  Sorry if this is a silly question, I haven't really participated since seti@home on a PS3, yearrrrs ago.

Still can't get my system to be quiet, thinking my Commander Pro is busted :(

It was an open box that they weren't supposed to sell me as I purchased full price, but because of COVID-19 they couldn't take a return and I have to wait till end of the pandemic... Need to talk to them again as their parent company has changed their return policy since.

I can't seem to set a RPM target for the fans at all, they always run at basically 100% lol

Granted after scavenging another GTX 980 SC ACX 2.0 to toss in my system I'm running into the bottom videocard being 10c cooler than my top one

Can't you just plug the fans into fan headers on the motherboard and control them via the utility from the motherboard vendor or, worst case, in the BIOS?.

You should still be able to leave the fans RGB headers connected to the Commander Pro so it can do the Rainbow Puke thing. 🌈🦄🤮

Reversing the Power supply so it's not competing with the GPU for air might help too if that's possible.  Removing the PCIe slot bracket at the bottom might help a bit too.

Have you tried fully uninstalling iCue and installing newest version? Or even downgrading to older version if newest doesn't work for you?

I've had a hell of a lot of problems with iCue (even RMA-ed one mouse that was broken by software), but I can tell you that newest firmware is actually A LITTLE bit better (still far away from perfect or good).
