Ryzen 5 5600 vs Ryzen 8500g, which one has better processing power?

1.Ryzen 5 5600 vs Ryzen 8500g(ignor igpu), which one is better processing power?

2.Can 8500g igpu perform as well as rx 580 or rx 570 in gaming?  If not which gpu can perform like this igpu?

Overall the 8500g is better but for a budget system i recommend the r5 5600

id pick the 5600 as the 8500g has a pathetic igpu thatll be blown out of the water by a used 30-40$ 4gb polaris 70/80 card

country?

budget?

usecase?

might aswell just reccomend an entire build while im at it

expectations wise 400-500$ would be a 6700xt 600-700$ should be a 3080/6800xt for lower budget builds though this is assuming a more gpu heavy build based on a 3600(x) 5500 or 5600(x) and a mix of used parts (mainly used cpu and gpu but also used board if new is overpriced or trash)

the 5600's igpu is worse than the 8500's igpu.

technically that video is the 5700g, which has a BETTER iGPU than the 5600g.  And it still loses handily to the 8500g.

The real downside to the 8500g is the shitty PCIE Lane expansion in the future.

id pick the 5600 anyways as paired with the aformentioned dirt cheap polaris card itll obliterate the 8500g not to mention the cheap used cpus and boards

still a bad choice.

If you're trying to build on a budget, and not "only APU build"

Get a Ryzen 5 5600 (non-G, and Non-X, unless you find the X cheap.) and a B550 Motherboard.

And get a used RX 580 8GB (should be ~50 bucks)

and that'd beat any of the iGPUs, and be a better performer in general and a very good pricetag.  (The 8500 CPU might be faster, but it'd also be a TON more expensive)

thats literally what i just said =p

except that id reccomend a used 5600 (70-90$) or a 3600 (~50$) alongside a used b3/450 tomahawk or equivalent midranger (~50$) for a <150$ cpu board combo as its stupid to spend more than that when lga 1700 with a 12600k(f) exists then am5 ontop of that

570/580 8gb ~50$ basically the best thing you can get for cheap since its basically just a 1060 with more vram and can be undervolted to ~100w, 4gb ones can go ~30$ so thats also a good option if you need something dirt cheap

so you can spend ~180$ for a 5600(x) + 580 8gb or ~130$ for a 3600(x) + 580 4gb

makes no sense to spend 100$+ on a midranger b550 when a midranger b3/450 has the same i/o at half the price minus pcie gen4 which is useless anyways for anything that isnt a 6500xt and anyone that doesnt strictly need a high end dram gen4 ssd (aka gamers), anyone that does would have gone for a crucial t700 gen5 anyways unless theyre on somewhat of a budget or just need relatively fast mass storage

None of these really a 7500f + used rx580 will shit on all of these configs.

The igpu on a 8500g is the fastest compared to last gens 5700g and such but its still just weak. Also the pcie lanes on the 8500g and 8600g are pathetic making them TERRIBLE choices when adding a gpu later.

So either get a 7600 and use the igpu on that for a bit till you can afford a gpu or go the 7500f + r580 way.

Othet options are also the i5 12400f as it does have a nice upgrade path or a cheap 5600 both combined with a gpu already.

That being said:  The 7500f isn't readily available in the USA, and I don't like telling people to look at Ali.

The 8500G is slightly faster, but not enough to really care. If you're not going to use the iGPU, wait a few weeks and get the upcoming 8400F, as that's basically an 8600G (a much better chip) without the iGPU. The 8500G is just a weird choice since the PCIe layout is so compromised (only 4x PCIe lanes means most GPUs will be bandwidth limited to some degree) and it's not like it's that much cheaper than an 8600G (much better iGPU, core design, and x8 PCIe for the top PCIe slot).

The 8500G is not even close to the RX 570. The 8700G in ideal scenarios can get to RX 570 performance, though usually it's something like a 1050 Ti, and seeing as the 8500G has 1/3 the GPU cores, it's much worse than that. Finding good reviews to compare it with directly is pretty difficult, so finding exact numbers are hard.

Only the 8500G is pathetic, the 8600G is x8 for the top PCIe slot so while not amazing, it's actually usable with most GPUs nowadays.
