Does anyone know if a video where someone directs a torsen diff. I want to make the car I'm probably getting into a torsen but I don't want to screw up a daily

I know how it works I just need to see how to disassemble and then assemble back together

BTW gotta work on me dad's town and country front brakes. Replaced it not even 6 months ago.

I didnt come up with a decent video, but how most Torsens come apart are pretty similar.

 

The six journal pins get pushed out of the spur-helical gear-sets, freeing all of those gear-sets too drop out of the differential housing. Once they are removed the drive gears are either removed out the same openings for smaller differentials, or an end cap of the housing can be unbolted and the drive gears removed axially.

Lol while looking for good pics I stumbled on a BMW parts page that basically said that. Take it out, give it to us lol.

BIG dilema!

heres the issue:

i can grab a 1970s opel kadett with a pile of spares and then have to make back the money i spend on the car to get a drivers license OR i save for the drivers license and borrow my dads car. (super tempting to get the kadett bechause getting work isnt a problem around here)

I have several questions. As a work of art and as a show piece, I can understand it. But to use a Prius as a base? I guess they really wanted an electric vehicle, and this was one of the few at the time?

 

On the upshot, I got to hear a song from the days when MTV played music.

Depends on which one you mean. (A picture would say more than a thousand words right here)

 

For 76 opels i'd look at the manta. But if you need cheap insurance the ascona might be a better option

I'm personally not a fan. But a car is a car. And insurance and such will probably be fairly cheap. And I see it as a car that you thrash on until it dies on you, and then you get something else.

 

So if the price is right. Then yay?

It isn't the prettiest car in the world. But for a first car i don't think it'll be too bad

 

Just a heads up. Old opels love to rust. Especially here in the nordic countries.

I'd suggest picking one of these up if you don't have one already
