Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

Rain pants? Fuck it, i'd just use waterproofing sealer on my jeans and wear those in the rain.

lol I make a mess everytime when there is a horizontal bolt.

It always shoots out that little bit farther than the container I put down LOL

I think it's even worse when it's horizontal and when it comes out it shoots out and directly hits a piping hot exhaust header. No bueno.

Spews to the FR tire and straight down, at the same time, because reasons. Also the oil filter is at a 90* angle because.. reasons..

Pisses me off every single time.

rig up an aluminum foil deflector so it hits the foil and runs straight down into the container

I like side mounted oil filters when they are at the bottom of the engine....

like on my dad's g35 he used to have... it was sooo easy and clean lol

Can't, transmission cooler lines are in the way. You can barely get a ratchet in there with a couple millimeters to spare.

Problem with the oil filter on an EcoBoost is there's a fucking cross member in the way.

Remember the red E34 I posted when we were posting the first car that would show up in the classifieds and shit? I father is going to look at it tomorrow and see if, in case he likes it, he can trade it for our 89' GSX1100F. I would rather have him trade it for something like a 520i instead of the 525tds, because, better than anyone else, we know the problems that engine gave us... :|

On the other hand, and even tho this might not seem good news to some of you, our '94 Mondeo is full of problems, and because of them my father almost crashed it (not his fault, the car just slides like a fucking ice cube if you brake hard). Which means, it's time for it to be replaced, and I said to my parents, with the money I have saved up, we could buy now a car that I like, and that will, when I have the license to drive, be mine and for me to drive and hoon around (hue), and that my parents can use for now while we figure out what to do with the Mondeo (most likely going to be sold part by part, which is the best way to go, since we can't sell due to reasons I will not discuss, not because I can't put them out, I just don't feel like I'm fit to write it xD). So, RIP inline sixes because I don't want my parents to double the money I have.

There.

One engine i'd walk away from if someone said "You can have it for free if you go through the rockers to set the valve lash"
