Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Pretty much, yeah. They email out a list of available cars and you just book it in for delivery. They drop off the new one and collect the old one.

they tend to buy new cars for the fleet and then ask for them back/swap after 6 months or when you reach 12,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Thats pretty cool, my friend was telling me that one of the guys that regularly comes in to do some stuff where he worls gets given money by his company where he can either keep a small amount of it or use the whole amount to buy a car for work, think he said it was about £25k for a car or £5k for himself

Needs money for car parts :P

@TVwazhere i see different seats. might not work for him. these are made for the stock seats.

If he wants lower seats he should probably get the GarageStar rails. or some other company that specializes in low-aftermarket seat rails for miata's

Yeah he literally just changed them for recaro seats about a week ago. Wasnt sure if it was applicable anymore but I threw it his way anyways since he's the one whos been helping me out with the FoST up until today. Plus I wanted to show yall his Miata and his derp dog who's adorable as shit. xD

Side note, Today is the day I get the Intercooler and cold air "snorkel" (funnel? air ram? eh, whatever) installed. Doing this one myself so we will see how it goes. At least if something goes wrong I have until Monday to fix it.

F1 needs to take some notes from the 2018 Indycars to make better/closer racing happen. The wakes off the 2017 F1 car is way too massive and the cars are way too sensitive to it. This is what you have to do for close racing. Minimize wake and simplify the design.

I think Formula E is trying to do the same "coke bottle" design with the Season 5/6 cars - minimize the central body profile whilst maximizing the through-body airflow for cooling or underbody aerodynamics. Interesting how changing the curvature of the sidepod and the outer edge of the floor can yield 6% better downforce.

In a way, the new Ford GT got it right in this aspect.

Figured I would post the Mazdaspeed3 I'm looking to get. Just one more day and I can go and buy it, please don't sell yet :x

Needs a front lip and coilovers for sure tho! Those alloys are already gorgeous. But I know for a fact this car looks good with RPF1s xD

Well my dad wanted me to get a nicer car that I can make payments on, to build my credit and not have to worry about the car breaking down all the time.

I've test driven a couple of cars already, Ford Focus, Mazda 3 (the Touring and a brand new Sport), and this Mazdaspeed3. I love the Speed3 by far, it's so quick.

so far there's only one car in my house with a moonroof, and that's a 15 year old protege. but my first car needs to have one. and the ones i have lined up have one. saab 9-5, bmw m5, but those are the future. if i want a moonroof car now, i would take the protege. and why not try to get the dealer to install a factory moonroof for you?

nvm ford dealers can't do it, it's done at the factory, but you can always go aftermarket. for me, it's kind of a necessity, especially when i park it for long periods of time because like iwant to sit on my roof with my feet in the cabin while all the hot air vents out of the car, so it's kind of a must for me in hot weather bc i don't want to sit in the stupidly hot air after it's been sitting in the sun for a while, so i just sit on the roof instead.

it's not. it's a 2013 mazdaspeed3, the last year they made them, unless they're bound to make a return soon.

It has the cursed 2.3 tho

nvm ford dealers can't do it, it's done at the factory, but you can always go aftermarket. for me, it's kind of a necessity, especially when i park it for long periods of time because like iwant to sit on my roof with my feet in the cabin while all the hot air vents out of the car, so it's kind of a must for me in hot weather bc i don't want to sit in the stupidly hot air after it's been sitting in the sun for a while, so i just sit on the roof instead.

it's not. it's a 2013 mazdaspeed3, the last year they made them, unless they're bound to make a return soon.

Isnt that a sun roof? I always thought moon roof's were glass that weren't openable and sun roofs were detachable through sliding it manually or automatically...

If you're already signed up with a bank or federal credit union, check their car loans. I got my bank to give me 1.99% financing  on a "new" car (they defined it as any car later than 2014) which is better than any dealership was able to provide.
