Car Enthusiast Club [Now Motorcycle friendly!] - First thread to 150k! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

Im usually not in a position to take a photo since im usually just walking along with my friend going somewhere or im on the bus while the other car is usually driving the other way. The only things I can usually take pics of are an 840ci and a MK2 Focus RS since they're always parked in the same place. A lot of the time tho its just. 'oh look, a porsche, nice'

I'm so sick of seeing Porsches constantly. I live in one of those types of neighborhoods that has tons of expensive SUVs and cars but they're garage queens or mall crawlers, not much more. It pisses me off

There's a couple of brand new GT3's at my mates work. Seen those a few times, also seen a couple of Turbo S' around. Cayenne's and Macan's are actually a rarer sight, seen more F-Pace's this year than either of those where I live. I love the Porsche's tho, so I don't think I could ever get tired of seeing them xD

They're just so common here and they're driven by the typical late 40s early 50 rich white woman that doesn't get the whole use out of the car. Maybe if it was used more of the type of people that would get the whole use of it it wouldn't be so annoying

The kind of people that drive them around here are a mostly <30 yr old and Asian whilst the 40/50 yr olds all seem to have moved on to WRX STI's lol

The exact opposite here, the WRX or anything fun that's Japanese is the mid 20s white guy stereotypically, the Asians all have gone German over here

That's gonna be me at that age, I don't want to be one of those old people that drives just a Camry, if driving is even still a thing at that time

In an ideal world i'd still want to be driving around in something like an RS6 or an S65. So I can be in complete comfort whilst still leaving half the planet behind :)

Not really, a good driver in a short wheelbase car can utilize his "disadvantage" in the hairpins and take them faster than a longer wheelbase car. (Atleast this is what i experienced when driving the starlet and levin on a twisty road)

You might have more money invested in your Hot Wheels than I my PC is worth. Holy balls.

LoL nah just building up my collection now. Currently sits at ~120 cars, at a dollar each, still roughly 5% of what my PC actually costs lol.

Plus when winter hits, I need something to shoot and I figure diecasts will do me by during the off-season.

I need to get myself some decent models. Hard finding some really good quality ones, in a decent size (like 1:18) for under £100

The nose of the car was crooked as hell, the door on the passengers side was stuck closed and the drivers door wouldnt close propperly.... (Got my stuff though)
