Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

Well, actually, it's several trees. One of which is particularly high up, expansion, and would be perilous to climb without assistance of an arborist, or someone with access to crane and cherry picker to avoid damaging other stuff directly below it. Don't think the culprit trees are going anywhere anytime soon, sadly. :(

Ropes and a chainsaw, all you need. Oh and probably friends.

Does kidnapping count as making "friends", or at least, some form of slave labor?

You'd make friends in the Penitentiary

Seeing as you are in California, good luck with that. The penal system there is very hardcore.

yeah... and its a small coupe that has good power. Plus its a modern car you can actually see out of. A feature a lot of newer cars lack currently.

I'd love to have a 1 series someday. Either a M variant or  135i

I also hit a possum at 3 times the speed limit on my way home from work. The entire underside of my car has fur now. Glad it has an airshield so it's not touching anything hot. But uhmm. Yeah.

Chiiiillllll owwwwttt.

I ran over a chunk of asphalt at 60 two days ago in the S70. Went CRUNK *pink* CLACKAHCLACKAHCLACKAH

then the water light turned on.

No damage though. Front subframe has a dent but thats it.

Water light was from the mystery coolant leak/consumption.

To be fair I was in an abandoned industrial area. Hours go by without anyone going through there. Not like I was near someone's house. Still it wasn't the most legal / smartest but it was fun. Not so much for the possum.

I checked and there was no damage after that which amazed me.

On the topic of things on the underside of your vehicles, took down the skidplate and was greeted with about half a beach's worth of sand, and the original oil cap. So yay?

All that would be needed is to replace the trees with a giant Cactus.

Our driveway has this strange, quite sharp bump thing that is significantly  larger than most speed bumps at one end (the side without trees), and smaller by about 3 inches on the other end. The height on the highest end is about 5-6 inches, with an angle steeper than 45 degrees. Honestly, how this thing passed code is beyond me.

I went to San Francisco years ago and this was one of the driveways in the neighborhood that we stayed in.

well i mean it's san francisco, it's naturally hilly, but at least there are ramps that allow for straight entry into a garage, not going into a garage at an angle and fucking up whatever bumper you got.
