I do it when I see that the PC has collected enough dust on the filters, maybe once every 3-6 months. And before every LAN of course.

How much?

I haven't done it for 4-6 months (Like I mentioned in main post), I am not sure how much my temps have changed but I guess we'll see when I am done.

I found an air bottle thingy for 99 SeK aka ca 10 bucks.

Well I have a 250D which is fairly small. Therefore if hot air has a hard time exiting the case....it is basically all the air in my case.

I actually only clean the dust-filters this often. ;-) The rest of the case doesn't get that much special attention. But I actually got my GPU to run at 75 instead of 80°C in FarCry 4 at 4k....so yeah. That's when I realized: "The 250D is a needy bitch! It needs maintenance!"

The interior with all GPU fans and CPU fan and heatsink etc only get cleaned about every 6 months I would say.

I was only 9 years old. I loved Fifflaren so much, I had all the NiP merchandise and matches pirated. I prayed to Fifflaren every night before bed. Thanking him for the life I have been given. Fifflaren is love I say. Fifflaren is life. My dad hears and calls me a fuckhead. I knew he was just jelly of my passion for Fifflaren. I called him a Sw@yer. He hits me and sends me to go to sleep. I'm crying now, and my face hurts. I lay in bed and it's really cold. A warmth is moving towards me. I feel someone touching me. I feel someone touching me. It's Fifflaren. I am so happy. He whispers in my ear; "this is my pyjama". He grabs me with his powerful Swedish hands and puts me on my hands and knees. I'm ready. I spread my ass cheeks for Fifflaren. He penetrates my butt-hole. It hurts so much but I do it for Fifflaren. I can feel my butt tearing as my eyes start to water. I push against his force. I want to please Fifflaren. He roars a viking roar as he fills my butt with his love. My dad walks in. Fifflaren looks straight into his eyes and says; "He is a ninja now". Fifflaren is love, Fifflaren is life

I clean out the filters every two weeks, the actual inside is almost THAT dusty, so I do that just now and then if I'm actually just changing things out and stuff :P

I also have cats ( 2 cats) but I close my door most of the time.

Is once a month necessary?

2 Cats and 3 dogs. I clean the hair out but I do a full disassembly every 3-4 months

Every 3 months or when I open her up to add new parts...

I use a can of compressed air, a hand pump, or a portable vacuum/inflator...

I'm thinking of repurposing a car tire inflator, but buying the appropriate 12V supply would set me back more than what a small air compressor would cost...

Not often enough considering I smoke around my PC.

Just too lazy to drag it out to the shed, drain any condensation out of the air compressor, clean it, then bring it back in. Not gonna waste money on cans of air.

I do clean my filter as often as I can.

External filters - every 3 to 4 weeks.

Internal check and clean - every 4 to 6 months.

It generally stays pretty clean so never takes much to do.

Any time I need to open the case up I will clean it out. Or when I notice any a build up of dust somewhere. Super easy to do, so why not just take the 5 minutes and do it. I'm guessing this happens once every 4-5 months.

A 290 Tri-X. It is pretty cramped in there...that's why it is so important I guess. And positive air pressure helps but results in worse temps from the start.....so yeah.

Eh, I clean my laptops maybe once a year, my desktop maybe once or twice a year. My friend challenged me to make my PC as filtered and dust free as possible, so i went alittle overboard.... I took the case from a old p4 system, connected a vaccum to it, found all the crevices, and than filled those crevices with silcone as cleanly as possible. Than I covered all my fan vents with filters, and did a positive airflow system.

Is it bad that my dream setup only costs a few thousand not counting the obutto?

Wow, weekly?

Isn't that a bit overkill?

I thought once per month was often,.
