Windows running on a Mac wasn't a thing really until VMWare introduced their first virtualization package for Mac OS way back in the early 90's.

 

And of course, natively running Windows was impossible until Apple dropped the PowerPC chips and switched to the Intel x86 package.

Maybe my translation doesn't convey the original meaning very well. The quote is from someone who doesn't know much about computers in general, let alone virtualization and instruction sets. They actually thought modern apple devices were running a version of Windows.

That reminds me when Intel had made the Centrino chipset and had those stickers on all the laptops, when you would ask what CPU the customer had in his laptop, he would reply "Centrino" ... that covered 3 generation of CPUs if I remember right, so that was completely useless information. And good luck explaining chipset vs CPU to a tech oblivious customer!!

When i ask people if they've done anything on their machine recently when they've experienced a problem they then lie and say they haven't and then i found out that they had some software installed recently. Just admit something was installed it will make troubleshooting quicker and you'll be able to get back to work sooner

I'm still grandfathered into my plan that has limited text messages because I pay the same amount if I went over to any other plan that has unlimited everything, except I get less data. It doesn't bother me since I don't talk or text all that often.

 

I'm sure the customer reps love me.

I'm the same i don't text or call that often however i still have ultd text and calls because in 2018 i think that plans that don't have it are basically conning you out of money, much like if you were to buy a TV that isn't AT LEAST Full HD you're being had
