What Color Theme Do You Prefer?

Black and purple is my preferred. I'm slowly moving toward that with this build. My last build was black and red, simply because it was the easiest to find.

White isn't a color either. Sort of.

The flash of the camera makes the top piece of the HDD stand out, but it's for sure better to have it hidden in the back part of the case.

Depends on the build. I think always going for the same color theme is lame and boring.

• Grey/copper
• Grey/brass
• All black
• Gunmetal

I'm just getting started in my acceptance of RGB but I like a slow angry red pluse effect.

What I really want is workload or temp controlled RGB so for example as my CPU load increases it goes from blue or green and fades to red as I max out the processor and same with the GPU.

I think right now I prefer a black/gray build, with possibly a few white accents.  I like the aesthetics of the Fractal Design Define R5, Corsair 200R cases, for example, and a few others.  I do not really care for the aesthetics of the ASRock AB350 Pro4 or MSI X370 Krait Gaming motherboards, although if I was doing a Ryzen build I might still consider the former due to it having some features I might like.  (I may be considering it - my current Z97 mobo may have been killed.  Also exploring other options.)

 

I really don't like "bling" / "grab your attention" case aesthetics, like on the Azza Solano 1000R (although it might make an interesting case for a hot-swap NAS), Cougar Challenger, Raidmax Viper, Thermaltake Level 10, many of the DIYPC and Apevia cases, NZXT Phantom, Corsair SPEC-04 & Spec Alpha, etc.

 

Also I generally hate front doors on cases (I break them off too easily), although if I get a new case, I'm strongly considering making an exception for the FD Define R5, since it's removable and otherwise has a lot of the features I might be looking for.  (If I do a new / redone build, I don't plan on reusing my Rosewill Thor V2.)

I'm not sure I like tempered glass side panels, either.  If I can't drop it on a hard surface from a few feet up without it compromising its structural integrity, then I don't want one.

Also I'm not a fan of LED case lights that are "always on", or have to be turned off in software.
