I'm lazy last time I cleaned it was like 6 or 7 months ago

I wipe my dust filters when I notice that they're dusty, probably about every 3 months. The inside of my PC doesn't get much dust in it.

My main computer:

i7 6700k || GTX 1070 || Asus Z170 RGB || C.M. Hyper 212 EVO || 16GB RAM || 256GB NVMe SSD || 500GB SATA SSD || 12TB total HDD || Define R5 Blackout || 850W PSU

Whenever I remember, maybe every 1-3 months. With positive pressure and decent filters, dust buildup happens very slowly.

Yes it is important. A lot of dust in the dust-filters may cause a little less air to get pushed through, hense lower cooling preformance. When it comes to dust in your computer it does not matter as much, unless you have dust in your heatsinks. Then you need to clean

Depend on how your hardware is configured, how dusty the room is, etc.

 

It's probably a good idea to at least check it within 6–7 months, though it may not actually need to be cleaned. I used to clean dust obsessively, but my newer system in an NZXT H440 really doesn't seem to pick up much dust. Once in awhile I'll pull my AIO liquid cooler apart because the radiator tends to get caked with dust pretty easily, but that's really the worst of it.

Every few months or so. I used to (forgive me) have it on a floor that got pretty dusty for a while but I've cleaned up my act and got a new desk. The inside of the case doesn't really get that dusty now so it's really just the fan filters I have to clean out.

Every month or 2 because I'm a clean freak when it comes to my PC but mainly because I'm in the process of ordering new fans since I have yet to create positive pressure in my case.

I do bi monthly, with a "full clean" every six months to a year where I pull it outside and clean everything out including the radiator and wipe everything down.

I clean the dust filters about once a month and do a more thorough cleaning of the case 2-3 times a year.

Yeah I take it outside because I dont want the dust to stay inside my house. Plus, good lighting for photos *ahem* I mean making sure all the dust is definitely off *nervously deletes 3000 photos of my pc on my phone*

Vacuum the front air intakes every 3 months or so. A vacuum every year. Complete teardown every 3 years or so.

I haven't yet... built it in like November last year, the H440 really doesn't pick up dust that quickly. It needs a clean soon though, only because I want it to look purdy

Side panels help the fans do their job properly. You don't get a steady flow of air from front to back & bottom to top, without the side panels and you can't utilize the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the case to force air flow. So unless you have a lot of fans or good steady breeze in your room, you're probably doing yourself a disservice by removing the side panels, causing stagnating warm air to sit around inside the PC.

 

But judging from the second line, you won't care about any of that xD

Depends how it is being run.  If it idles at low fans a lot vs running max fans 24/7, it will accumulate dust at a very different speed.  Also depends on how dusty the air is.

light cleaning every month

heavy cleaning every 3 months

complete clean (taking everything apart) every 6 months

 

That's mostly for the ones I don't mess with constantly.

Filters whenever I get tired of looking at the dust, interior whenever the system gets upgraded (2-3 years.) It really depends on your environment. A friend of mine lived near a highway and had 3 dogs, the inside of his computer would be packed with fur and dust every 12 months.
