Need a get rich quick scheme

Hi all, 

 

I'm in school still and I'm looking to start a side hustle. I know I can just get a job but my issue is that I don't want to be chained to a work schedule when exams roll around. 

 

I've been thinking of selling coffee and hot dogs and stuff at sports days. 

 

My friend has been making bank with a 3D printer (spinners) but I don't have the cash right now and I don't want to cut into his market

 

Any ideas for a side hustle?

If you want something to do that gives quick money, get a mower. Find lazy assholes who wait until the city plants one of those  "cut your grass asshole or pay a fine" signs in there. Offer to cut their grass for 20$ or more. Most lawns will take you half hour max. I did this when I was young.

I heard about this new type of crypto coin that you can actually mine for a profit... its called ether or something... try that. I heard it's about 20 bucks a week or so.

you thinking to small scale, You go get some of those Signs.. you stick them in the lawn.

Then the next day you get hired to mow their lawn, now here is where it gets good.

 

After doing a Really great job (Really go beyond just mowing the lawn) you speak to them about getting you out every two weeks to do it. You now have clients.. you repeat till you have a plot to mow every weekday on two week rotations. that's 10 lawns @$20/2 weeks. so you keep them happy and bust your ass for a little bit that's $400 a month.

 

Now after two months you raise the price to $25 but explain to all the clients that it is for Equipment upgrades.  you than hire some of your sticky finger friends and give them $15 per lawn. You don't let them know what the client is paying and you keep the money flowing to them and be loyal and they will be back.

 

You are now making $200 per month without having to do a damn thing except keep guys on the schedule and making sure you always have extra staff on standby in case someone bails cause of a party or something. 

 

And there we go

Ask your grandparents to do simple jobs and have them pay you a cent the first day, and then double the profit from there. You should at the end of 30 day end up with around 36 million ?

You could craigslist or eBay a bunch of electronics or toys you don't use anymore. That's what I did.

Buy something in big volume (let's say 1000 pcs of something) , then sell packs of 5 / 10/ 25 at prices cheaper than retail price (for 1pcs) , yet more profitable than what you paid for each individual piece)

 

See what your friends need or buy often and what wouldn't be embarrassing for you to sell. Chewing gum, cheetos, usb sticks, blank dvd / bluray media if people still need that

 

On example in the IT area ... for example, buy 50-100ml syringes/bottles of good thermal paste and sell 5-10ml syringes with that paste to friends at less than retail price yet still profitable for you...

 

Another example: buy 2000pcs of red leds for $0.022 each or 44$ + maybe 5$ shipping, then make packs of 100pcs and sell 20 packs of 100 leds for 4-5$ each on eBay and you made 80-100$, about 70$ after ebay fees, so a profit of around 25-30$. 

 

By 2000 of each color (maybe around 10-15 different colors) and make packs of 25 leds from each color and sell them for 10$ per pack or something like that. Spend a few hundreds in stock of leds, but people (hobbyists) would slowly buy packs made of mix of leds.

 

Buy RGB leds and design the circuit board to make led strips and manufacture circuit boards somewhere and sell led strips...

 

Requires some initial investment of course.

 

some other suggestions .. browse specialized forums like webhostingtalk for example and buy older dedicated servers they take out of operation for very cheap, buy some extra ram from eBay, maybe a ssd, basically make the server better and sell it again for a small profit. Risky not much of a market.

 

Maybe get into custom psu cables and sleeving, offer to make sleeved cables for friends or for various people ... buy sleeve material in volume and the crimping tools and connectors required and offer to customize power supplies .. maybe take a deposit from people and buy the power supply yourself , customize its cables and then person pays the rest of the money when you ship the power supply to them.

Requires some patience and it takes time but it can be profitable.

When I was younger I scrapped metal. when unemployment is high it is very competitive. Also fighting with drug addicts and homeless people is great exercise

The problem is that in my country there's an army of poor people willing to work very hard for very long hours just to find work. Since they're usually unskilled this means that most manual labour jobs are already taken by these people.
