I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Hands down, it's the SSD. Computing has never been the same since since moving from HDD to SSD. It's the best upgrade in the last 20 years of computing.

My Game Boy Advance.  I grew up on my Game Boy.  I keep it locked in my fireproof safe.

Currently focusing on my video game collection.

It doesn't matter what you play games on, just play good games you enjoy.

You still have your GBA?  Lucky..    I was dumb and needed the money so I sold my GameBoy color to help get my GameBoy advance and later sold that to help get my gba sp before eventually selling that to help get my first gen DS.

Me too.  I can still remember how awesome it was getting my GB Color and Pokemon Blue.  Seriously best Christmas ever.

Though one of my sets of grandparents sort of partly spoiled the surprise by getting me Mega Man: Dr. Wiley's Revenge that I got Christmas Eve but didn't get the GBC until Christmas Day from my parents.  lol

Or playing the Advance Wars games on my GBA.

Later Zone of the Enders: The Fist of Mars on my GBA SP when I got it.  LOVE that game.

Don't know if this counts but it is a piece of tech that I had a hand in creating in college and it definitely ranks as one of my favorites.. I designed the PCB myself.  This was a pain to debug and get working properly and took 5 of us to complete. It's supposed to be a proof of concept for a blind spots detector when driving.

As for typical tech I would say the iPhone 3GS. At that time almost 7-8 years ago that phone was unbelievable when I first got it. We kinda take smartphones for granted nowadays.
