What the hell is going on here then? What reason do Google have to unsub people from channels automatically? Is it a bug in the software?

could be old/inactive accounts they've deleted, that just happen to follow certain youtubers

What the review tech vid, he's had tweets from active users getting auto unsubbed for no reason.

We get tweets about this pretty much constantly, so nothing new. And our sub count hasn't dropped dramatically from what I've seen.

 

You can see any YouTuber's sub count on sites like socialblade and vidstatsx

This is nothing new. I have heard this from many content creators. What seems to happen is YouTube's algorithms seems to scan through and unsub all accounts they think are bots or are inactive. This is flawed however, as instances of active viewers getting purged has happened before.

As the man himself said, LTT looks to be fine. At least for what you can tell by Socialblade. I was just looking up these creators in there and they're all only gaining subscribers daily. All talk, I'd say.

It sounds like YouTube is using bots to monitor channels subs cunts and the bots have cone haywire when they purged.

My channel only has about 110-112 subs so I doubt it affects me, but I almost never see drops, and if I do it's never significant.

Not sure I'd believe that. While that is reasonable, it seems that with every "wave" of mass subscription loss I always see comments about randomly being unsubbed from people.

This happens every so often, and people always get chocked when it happens. It's YouTube removing bot/banned accounts, and such. It's really not a big deal.

 

People are just mad that their numbers aren't as big anymore.

It's the "legitimate" accounts getting unsubbed which is the "problem", but those accounts probably belong to someone participating in one of those dislikes-for-cash third parties. All the channels complaining about losing subs seem to be channels for the young male demographic. The demographic most immature and ready to abuse systems and loopholes, however often they get bitten in the ass.

 

I wonder if it was worth the $0.45 they earned for disliking a COD trailer. Probably in the form of a bitcoin fragment.
