Yeah a few things like CPU, Motherboard, RAM, GPU, and so on. Tech of Tomorrow made me buy my 980ti which I do not regret at all. Jay made me get the Enthoo Primo SE, and my AIO 100i.

Not really. The closest i got to it was when I was looking for information on the Carbide 200R. His review did contribute some information and increased the probability of buying it, but eventually I did something else.

It has some merit, though, as it was merely an unboxing and first look, which usually give you at most as much information as the manufacturer's website :P

Well I would have to answer probably no. I have looked at some of their helpful reviews in the past back when I was less knowledgeable, but their reviews didn't immediately make me by the product. I just looked for multiple reviews and thought about it a bit before purchasing a new GPU for example.

I can recall a couple of mine, there may be more, but i cant think of them right now

 

Samsung SMX-F30 Camcorder - Stumbled on Linus's video while looking for reviews before buying a camcorder that i thought looked good. This was back in late 2010, and i wasn't really into PCs at the time, so i wasn't an LTT viewer at all at that point. That video also made me think Linus had some sort of health condition to do with his arms, as he thought the software cd for the camcorder was actually 2 cds, and then discovering that it was just one. There was then an annotation that said something along the lines of "When your arms are weak like mine, CDs are heavy"

 

Func HS 260 Headset - Found it on heavy discount at a local retailer, and wondered if it was any good. Linus' review sealed the deal, and it's been my primary gaming headset ever since

 

CM Storm Quickfire TK - A recent acquisition for me, but I wanted a mechanical board, somewhat spurred on by Luke's keycap guide. Found this one that looked good and was within budget, and then went looking to see if Linus had reviewed it. Found an overview and first impressions video from the garage days of LTT, which once again sealed the deal for me. You may be seeing a pattern emerging

 

It mostly seems that I will first find something that I like the look of, that is also in my budget, and then find a review to see if its actually any good. LTT is usually the first place i check, as I value Linus' opinion quite highly. Not sure if that was what you were asking, as your question seemed to be more along the lines of "Have you ever first seen something in an LTT review that you have later bought" But those are some of my purchases that I partially have LTT to thank for. All excellent products, throughly recommend them, except maybe the camcorder, because it's horribly outdated now, but was an excellent performer at the time

They weren't reviewed, just unboxed, but I watched the LTT videos on the Corsair Obsidian 750D and the Noctua NH-U14S before buying them.

Not exactly but with that video of Luke trying to fix his keyboard, I tried but  I just cut but couldn't solder the points I needed to on my old Blackwidow Mac ed. and just found out you can get a KB with a removable cord so went with CM XTi Quickfire over the G910 Orion Spark cause "WASD" keys were meh.

I purchased the XPS 15 in part because of Linus' review. It was really a combination of multiple reviews, but his was definitely part of the process. I've probably purchased other things in part because of him, but none come to mind.

 

Just a side note, I the more expensive the item the more likely people will consult multiple reviews. Or at least that's what they should do.

yes. my entire computer. I used crappy crappy pre-builds before I watched Linus.

 

i think my monitor, the XB270HU, which I got later, was especially because of them...I think I watched their review of it 10-15 times before pulling the trigger.

CPU: 5950x with Noctua NH-D15

GPU: MSI 2080ti

Case: BE QUIET! Dark Base 900 Pro

Storage: Samsung 970  pro 500gb (boot drive), unknown 2tb Seagate drive, 4tb WD Black drive

PSU: Corsair HX1000i

RAM: (4x8) Trident Z RGB
