Well, that doesn't leave much choice.

The Leadex II is OKish, but the fan RPM when it starts is very high (around 800rpm with the 140mm fan)....

Is it more audible than the X-Series?

what about compare Leadex II to other Seasonics? (Focus & PRIME), in terms of Quality and Silent ?

HEC makes the newer ones, and CWT made the older ones, I think.

Quick question, how much of a noticable different is there between a tier 1 and 2?

I was considering getting a masterwatt 750, because of its cheap price and ability to add another graphics card. Its only a few dollars more than the 650 and 20aud more than the 550, so i figured why not. Still waiting for the new graphics cards from nvidia xD

Can somebody tell me what is the deal with Riotoro's Enigma line-up? I wanted to get one but all i get when i search for it are conflicting opinions by many reviewers and publications. There's supposedly a version made by Great Wall (G1) and a version by Seasonic (G2), from what i've heard.

In here its considered a Tier 1, on Cybenetics (and by extension Teclab) its considered a "bad quality tier 2", JonnyGuru gave a total score of 8.9 (Great Wall version) and Kitguru recommended it with a 9.0 score.

Who should i trust? And if there's two versions, how can i spot the differences?

1. If you have the money for a second GPU, you have the money for a good PSU.

2. The next generation of GPUs comes later this year.

3. Are you wasting money thats better spent on a better quality PSU like a Bitfenix Formula or Whisper M with 450 or 550W

The old ones were a lowish End CWT Plattform, the newer ones are from HEC.

But still group regulated.

If you can, get a better, independently regulated Unit

1. Never said i was getting 2 straight away. I said in the future

2. Not confirmed

3. Could you, maybe, answer my question about whats the difference between tier 1 and 2 psus? And tell me the flaws of the masterwatt?

Also, of course its better. Its 80 dollars more where i live. Its like going up to someone, telling them stock fans suck and for them to invest hundreds of dollars in noctua case fans

The Kitguru review is for the Enigma G2; the Toms ad Jonnyguru reviews are for the Enigma. I would guess the newer ones would be the G2. The sticker on the side of the G2 has a very tiny "G2" on it.

Not really.

400, 500 and 600 do not meet ErP2013 Lot 6 requirements for EU (low load efficiency requirement).  450, 550 and 650 does.

Also, the 450, 550 and 650W come in a cooler looking, smaller housing.  ;-)

...when the new cards are out there...

And you don't believe how many times I've heard that. And 5 Years later nobody did that for a longer period of time because it just doesn't work with many modern Games at all. And some are a pain and broken.

And you need a power meter to see if the 2nd card is working at all. + higher power consumption and shit like that.

Its not worth it...

Just sell the old card and get a new, more powerful one.

It pretty much is:

https://wccftech.com/amd-navi-gpu-spotted-in-linux-drivers/

So you can expect the new stuff in Fall or Winter.

No, but I can tell you about the difference between most of the Bronze stuff and the Gold ones (and better):
better topoligy, more Caps on +12V in parallel, more modern design, better fans...

More Robust designs....

Yes and if you can use the Hardware 1 or two more years before they fail might also be something worth to consider...

What would you recommend for a system with:

* i7 8700k (with room for overclocking to 5ghz - 1.4vcore)

* ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero

* GTX 1080

with room to upgrade the GPU in the future / SLi.

Also wish for the PSU to be silent.

550/650W RMx? Straight Power 11 also works.

Straight Power 11, 550W is enough

Bitfenix Formula or Whisper M; 550W the 650W is far louder under lower loads

And also Silverstone Strider Platinum is a good choice, also 550W.
