  2. It's because your monitor uses a VA panel. Get an IPS display
  3. So far, I've used the following in my benchmarks: Far Cry Primal (2016) (DX11) Rise of the Tomb Raider (2016) (DX12) Final Fantasy XV (2018) (DX11) Shadow of the Tomb Raider (2018) (DX12) Can anyone suggest others?
  4. The first image contains: Core i5-750 > i5-3570K (with a Radeon HD 7870 XT) Core i7-6700K > Core i7-8700K (with a GeForce GTX 1080) Core i7-8700K > Ryzen 5 5600X (with a GeForce RTX 2080)
  5. There's always one. Maybe his view was that, since females tend to be into PC gaming less than males, that this topic was specifically about girlfriends and wives rather than boyfriends and husbands?
  6. Aside from Microsoft programs, the API hasn't had much use. This topic was triggered by me seeing how many options are in the menus within Adobe Photoshop 2020. The Edit menu alone has 30 or so options, many with sub-options. With Photoshop, it may be workflow-related. Still, it's a shame more programs didn't adopt it.
  7. Turns out one culprit was G-Sync being enabled. Here are the final benchmarks: https://www.linustechtips.com/topic/1294617-core-i7-8700k-vs-ryzen-5-5600x-my-50-upgrade-benchmarks
  8. All stock timings. So the 16GB DDR4-3000 kit was CL15 and the 32 GB DDR4-3600 kit is CL18. I believe NVIDIA is only allowing 3000-series GPUs to have access to SAM, unfortunately. Presumably an artificial restriction.
  9. I'll be buying an RTX 3080 at some point, in which I'll re-run all the tests and re-post. Are there any other benchmarks you'd like me to add, going forward? The percentages at the end are the differences going from a Core i7-8700K to the Ryzen 5 5600X.
  10. The high-end is definitely getting more expensive. Same with mobile phones.
  11. I'm actually struggling to find it. The download on their official website never actually starts. Can anyone help?
  12. Make sure all connectors are plugged in (6-pin etc.).
