Ah, that makes sense with what I have seen (not just with Corsair, but with really every brand).

I notice that stores tend to go out of stock with products from that one brand, then eventually stock up all of their stuff at once. PCCG was out of stock of the XFX XTR 750 from September 2015 to about February 2016. I emailed them before Christmas that year and they had no ETA.

I emailed the 2 suppliers for Avexir requesting if any stores sold Avexir Core DDR3, which was a no and they couldn't (or wouldn't) get it in.

Seasonic, EVGA and other brands will completely disapear from PCCG's store for peroids of 3 months, then will appear in bulk again.

Yep.  I remember visiting once (only once... wish I could go more often) and visited a bunch of computer stores and they would have A BUNCH of two brands and nothing else.  If there was an Australian based PC component company (is there?) that would be SO COOL.  I would totally be on board for that. :D  But as it is.. everyone just relies on their Taiwan office to ship containers Down Under. :(

New Zealand is worse because they ship the containers to Australia, mix the containers and then ship them again to NZ.  Nothing really LANDS in NZ. :(

it is interesting that the prices at Australia aren't that awful knowing that, they are basically just the US price converted to AUD, then timesed by 1.1 (Australian prices include a 10% tax in them). Maybe that is to compete with the stupidly cheap shipping cost from Amazon America.

I haven't looked at the cost of enthusiasts parts as I have no interest in buying them (due to the cost)

What else should they replace an RM650 with?!

It's fully modular, 80plus gold, the next best thing they have is RM650x. So one would expect that to be the normal case...

Only if they have old new stock, you will get an old RM...

I have no idea where to put this, performance isn't great but build quality is and it's a redundant PSU... @STRMfrmXMNany thoughts?

Dunno if redundant non-home PC user PSUs are the things I'd put in here if I'm honest. Someone looking to buy one of those isn't going to look at this list.

Is it ideal? No. Is it deadly? Nah. Is it a good idea to replace the PSU if you upgrade your CPU or GPU down the road? Yes.

If you have it, upgrade it if you upgrade. If you are going to buy this power supply, you can get better PSUs for the same price.
