So is the 700B only not recommended because of its original price or is there something actually wrong with it? atm it's only $5 more than the 600b (not including MIR buys).

It's super terrible value. The 600B is not really great either when the 450B and 500B are cheaper and no system running either of those needs more wattage.

Systems using a PSU in Tier 4 shouldn't need more than 500W.

Okay. I'm wanting something good for the future (probably closer to GTX 1060 level but still - also, this is my 1060th post lol coincidences).

Would it be better if I went for something that was rated higher even if at a lower wattage? Example - the Seasonic S12II 620w @ $56?

Yeah, don't get a S12II either. it's old and not worth getting. Get something like a Corsair TX550M, or even just a CX550 (or M)

Isn't the 600B+ a better psu than the 450/500B also (ignoring price)?

650W is fine if you don't plan to SLI ever otherwise go 850

Wait both of you have Ampharos pics. Are you like brothers? Anyway Ampharos was always my strongest Pokemon on my team in Pokemon Colosseum. Its special attack is deadly.

It could be faulty, yes. Could have been damaged in shipping considering they only used bubble wrap and no packing foam.

I generally wouldn't recommend a B1, but there are times when it is a decent amount cheaper, and it even happens occasionally that the 600B ends up being cheaper than the 450/500B.
