Dry ice E5649 :D CPU isn't at the limit, board was the issue here. Rerunning tomorrow with a different board if the dice doesn't sublimate over night.

Xeon e5649@4.4 GHz on Asus Rampage II Extreme or Gigabyte x58a-OC (whatever I feel like to set up at a time) , 6x4 GB Kingston HyperX 1600, Gainward GTX 670 Phantom, Samsung 840 Evo 240 GB, BeQuiet L8 530W

It's the max bootable BCLK, I tried for a couple hours yesterday (and a probably a couple days a while back) to get more out of it but the board is limited by the highest PCIe clock it can boot, which is about 118. At some point CPU-z doesn't show the correct frequency any longer sadly... and the x58a-oc didn't work too well today, so no higher score from me :/

2079543.jpg

But I got a nice score for a quad core :D Limited by me running out of dice, wouldn't be surprised if it could do 900 with dice.

First time with the FX series. With an 8320E on stock cooling, I was able to get to 717. I tried pushing further but I couldn't without hitting thermal limits.

I thought about taking it outside and doing it would help bring temps down quite a bit, but we shall see.

Also, @Jumper118 when making submissions do we need to tag you, or do you automatically add the submission?

nice, maybe try other board next time then so you can compare? it should be better

Ya, a good round decade sounds good. Definitely don't want to rush things.

Still highest r15 score on dice on hwbot for this socket and handily beating everyone here. I had an x58a-oc that sadly got wet before I could swap in the cpu, need to be more careful about insulation next time I do this... Getting an x58a-ud3r and an x58a-ud7 (only one of them works though, probably the latter) soon, but I really want a rampage III extreme or Formula... Not the biggest fan of gigabyte boards but they somehow always find their way to me...

yeah that is a good effort most plebs get 1500-1700 on a 2700X XD idk if they get their test configs from principle technologies or what :P i think anything over 1900cb for daily is good efficiency and over 2000cb is a nice milestone even if its only bench stable :P

rampage 3 black edition ;) thats the reel king apparently. would highly recommend taking time with insulation and only do 1 cpu with 1 board per day to let it dry out fully.  thats why when i get dice or ln2 i have a few boards or platforms lined up. it happens much worse when its raining or cloudy as well. cold and dry is best.

I had to wait for the weather to get a lot cooler to get myself my top Cinebench score of2017 at 4.33GHz as well as beating some other previous scores.  But I get higher than 1900 points all the time with my setup now.  My top single core in Cinebench is 186, but it hasn't gotten any higher with the cooler weather from when I first hit it a while ago.

And it all started because I watched your YouTube videos.

Rampage III Formula is really solid and under appreciated supposedly, but currently I don't have the funds to pick one up. And well, there aren't exactly many CPUs limited by 266 BCLK :P Gonna keep an eye out for the interesting boards over the next couple months, there are other important matters for maxing BCLK, which was my goal with this Project, but I haven't managed beyond 287.22

Think this should suffice for an XP gaming machine ?. Now it just needs a 9800GT (single slot) and it'll be golden.

Kinda sad I can't push the BCLK up to 106MHz regardless of what I do (either just fails to do the hard reset as it should or the memok led shines failure in my face). Suppose this will have to be good enough for XP unless I can somehow steal a halfway competent Z77 board.
