I saw this thread and had to register, been a follower for linus tech tips on Youtube for a few years but never did register on the forum even if he keeps telling people every other video :P

This is a screen from a server machine with 2x Intel Xeon Gold 6152 CPUs and 200Gb of ram.

Better than last time but not by much. :D I didn't even bother to test single core, I doubt it would be any higher than last time (131).

Before and after an OC that wasn't intentional but decided to run with it. Noticed that I hadn't used the XMP profile for the RAM and when I enabled it the CPU went up to 3.6Ghz. May as well go to 4Ghz :)

Edit:

Decided to see what my dual Xeon E5649 playground got, safe to say I'm underwhelmed. May have to OC this too! xeonstock.png.1da545e281e7ee3e4169e53d0b997f10.png

Don’t push over 1.4V qpi on 32nm chips, it just doesn’t do enough to warrant the risk. They randomly die above that voltage, I’ve had one instantly die at 1.6V when i was testing. Luckily it was only one CPU that actually ended up no longer booting at all out of about 80, but it still sucked. Vcore at 1.5 or even 1.6 is alright-ish for short benches if properly cooled. You don’t have a single setting that warrants over 1.3V QPI unless you got the worst possible x5650. My current best 6 core (only binned 6 of those as quads are easier to get in bulk) does 4.5 (225x20) at 1.38V and can handle triple channel ddr3 at 2200 MHz at 1.4V QPI (currently running 1800 with 6 dimms at 1.35V)... Extra QPI voltage beyond a certain point doesn’t help much in my experience.

Xeon e5649@4.4 GHz on Asus Rampage II Extreme or Gigabyte x58a-OC (whatever I feel like to set up at a time) , 6x4 GB Kingston HyperX 1600, Gainward GTX 670 Phantom, Samsung 840 Evo 240 GB, BeQuiet L8 530W

Don't worry, I'm cooling it with custom AIO (Eisbaer with 360x45mm radiator) and Hydronaut paste :)
CPU survived to bench another day.
Extra QPI/VTT Voltage was needed for ~3,9GHz UnCore clock together with 2050MHz DRAM.

AIO is still ambient, not much better then a high end air cooler. High QPI volts (>1.4V) are actually known to quickly kill chips (off course you can also murder them with Vcore, but Westmere can easily survive 1.7V with some degredation(this chip still lives after 1.7V Vcore, but now only does 4.4 GHz at 1.4V instead of 4.8 at 1.4V).

With high QPI the chip just dies and there is nothing to do with it besides nailing it on your wall. Stay around 1.35V or lower for long term, 1.4V if you are feeling adventurous. For benching 1.45 while unsafe should still last a while (couple days maybe). Also, damn, 3.9 GHz encore at 1.5+V QPI is pretty bad... I have chips that run 4.2 Uncore at 1.4V or less as well as 2000 MHz RAM tight-ish (not quite as tight as my old i5... Chip did well but the IMC got heavily degraded at 1.45V and finally died at 1.6V - a 45nm chip with a sturdier IMC...)

@Ground Did you used 12GB of RAM at 2GHz with that 4,2GHz UnCore at 1,4V speed ?
