Typical, as soon as you buy it (any computer hardware) it's already outdated. As soon as I bought my 3930K the 4930K came out. As soon as I bought a pair of R9 290X 4GB cards the R9 390X 8GB cards came out, it's just how tech works.

You have to buy it when it comes out if you dont want to be dissapointed!

True but then you pay the premium of a newly released product (with the exclusion of processors) as appose to waiting a while for when the price goes down.

I will wait for objective reviews that list numbers, thank you very much. I will expect they are going to perform either equally or the 1080 maybe a tiny bit better, but not 10%. That is judging by the past of course

If your card is EVGA you can always use the 'step-up' program to jump to a new 1080 when it launches.

Haha!

If you really want the 1080 then return it the 980Ti's and wait. Since this is just a "paper launch" there is always the possibility they could run into unforseen issues and have to push the date back more.

On the other hand you currently have two 980Ti's which currently place you in the top 99% in regards to gaming rigs so it's not really all that bad.

just wait for the hype to calm down... and you'll see that 1080 its not that amazing like everyone say.... -.- 3x the performance.. yes.. they wish... you'll be fine for a long time with 980ti....

well I bought R9 390 like 2-3 months ago and I'm also not happy with my decision

And there is nothing else you can do right now. Wait for that card to ship, so users will be able to test it, write reviews, benchmark it, drop test from top of the mountain etc.

After that you can decide if it's worth selling your current GPU and buy 1080, At least that's what I will do, but I'm going on 1070 instead.

If 1070 is realy better than titan x ... well there is nothing more that I need for next 2 years xD

Will be selling my r9 390 for like 240€ + paying additional 250€ to get 1070. IF it will be worth it.

What's wrong with the 390?

In my case it's bad fan bearing that's annoying me for past 2 months.

As I said, I will wait for real benchmarks to come, then I will decide. If it's like 10% better, I won't buy it.

But if 1070 can really be compared to GTX Titan X ... well I want to have card like that for that low price.

Titan X and 980 Ti are pretty much the same thing for gaming.

You had to register within 14 days of purchase though. I found that out when I wanted to Step Up my 970 SC for a 970 SSC.
