My sister owns the most powerful computer in the family (aside from my own, of course).

She uses a nice custom built affair (built by your truly), featuring a 750GB Seagate Recertified hard drive, an AMD FX-6100, 8 GB of PNY Anarchy ram, a GTX 285, and an EVGA 500B power supply. Unfortunately, the ASRock 970 Extreme 4 motherboard in it is basically shot and needs replaced, as it doesn't want to boot some of the time. It will be replaced with a wonderful MSI unit when I get the money, as it also has one bad ram slot, and two that are currently dying. It will also be getting another 8GB of ram, a second GTX 285 (because they're dirt cheap power), and an EVGA 800W PSU of some description, along with a mild overclock to maybe 3.8 to 3.9 GHz.

And why am I hot roding a computer owned by an 11 year old who plays minecraft and roblox? Because why not? It'll make her happy.

PC Fleet:

Athena: Ryzen 7 1700 @ 3.8GHz/MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon/16 GB RAM/ASUS Strix Geforce GTX 1070/Corsair HX850i PSU/1.85 TB Total Storage Space/NZXT H440 (Black/Red)/Windows 10

Solindra: Parted out/given away

Brother has a 2011 v3 i7 5820k /980TI/ROG board system.

I got his off casts. I bought the 780Ti from him and because I built his new rig for him, he let me use the CPU as well.

I don't actually know the specs of most of the computers in this house.... My dad has a prebuilt with an i5, my mom's laptop has an i7 because she was convinced she needed it for the very light Photoshop she does. So CPU wise they probably beat my Athlon, but I'm the only one with a dedicated GPU so it's even I guess lol.

My sister's laptop is actually the most powerful since it's the newest laptop purchased in the family. It's rocking a 4th gen quad core i5 while I'm still on a Athlon II laptop

Don't need to be rich.

I earn slightly more than minimum wage, as does my wife. I spend more on hifi in a year than he ever would on PCs. We don't drink, smoke or spend money on other hobbies. Brother is much the same.

It depends on how you define most powerful... CPU wise, I'm guessing it is my niece but she has been lost to the light side (Apple). My nephew has a gaming box but he's running a GTX960 I had spare so it isn't a pimped out box. Then again, he only plays dota2 which isn't exactly demanding...

Gaming system: R7 7800X3D, Asus ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming Wifi, Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE ARGB, Corsair Vengeance 2x 32GB 6000C30, RTX 4070, MSI MPG A850G, Fractal Design North, Samsung 990 Pro 2TB, Acer Predator XB241YU 24" 1440p 144Hz G-Sync + HP LP2475w 24" 1200p 60Hz wide gamut
Productivity system: i9-7980XE, Asus X299 TUF mark 2, Noctua D15, 64GB ram (mixed), RTX 3070, NZXT E850, GameMax Abyss, Samsung 980 Pro 2TB, random 1080p + 720p displays.
Gaming laptop: Lenovo Legion 5, 5800H, RTX 3070, Kingston DDR4 3200C22 2x16GB 2Rx8, Kingston Fury Renegade 1TB + Crucial P1 1TB SSD, 165 Hz IPS 1080p G-Sync Compatible

R9 285

My mum still has her iMac from like 2010ish with a gpu that has a quarter of a gig of vram while I'm sitting here with an R9 390.

Because he wants OSX, and to run it natively.

And since he got it near launch, X99 wasn't a thing. Yes, X79 could've done it just fine.

cpu wise defenately my dad's, because its the only i7 outside of my stuff

gaming wise defenately my sister's, because everyone else is on integrated or hideously old

actual performance wise... probably my aunt's because she's the only one to actually maintain it...

The M295X is really right on par with a 7870 in gaming, though.
