For me it was finding the site while learning more about computers. I had seen the channel when I was checking out 980ti rumors (pushing off buying my first extreme system.) They mentioned a forum and I came here for shits and giggles.

After that the helpful people (generally), and responsive attitudes (always) was a real reason for me to stick around and spread my own knowledge.

No real reason in particular. Had been a fan of the channel for some time, never really bothered with creating an account until it crossed my mind after linus mentioned it in some video quite a while back.

I came here to enlighten people about second hand business laptops and why you should always buy those over a cheap new laptop.

Also to spread some ThinkPad love.

LTT as a YouTube channel : for its unboxings. I was looking into getting new PC and I've always known it's best to build it yourself. So I turned to YouTube and found Linus (at that time he maybe had 100K subs).

His live shows from kitchen or garage and his personality and knowledge immediately caught my attention and I liked him at first sight lol (I think the 1st vid I watched was a mobo unboxing in parking lot outside NCIX during his break, I wanted AMD fx6300 mobo :D )

As for LTT forum I joined just to see what it's all about. 4000+ posts later I'm still here and I will until I keep my interest in new tech.

End of wall of text. Thx for reading LOL.

I wanted to try a Phenom II X6 1055t, and Linus had a good overclocking guide.

I am not sure why I exactly I came to the forum:

1.  I was directed here.  (Youtube)

2.  Either a giveaway, or curiosity.

I built a pc, and wanted to do more with it, talk about my passion. Where better to do it then ideally a place where others share this desire?

Ultimatly i I didn't do that much more advanced stuff, but the community has good people and it's fair share of moments, so I stayed.

Also grats on 10,000!

Bleigh!  Ever hear of AC series?

Depends, there are different types of business laptops. There are stronger Workstation models for example which always have CAD certified GPU's, or regular machines that are more portable. Their aims vary as well. Some are designed as a mobile typing machines (hence, excellent keyboards) and others can be digital note-taking devices (with Digitizers), although you can use them for whatever you need really. Prices vary as well and include anything from 2 to 4 digit prices.

It can be debated what business laptops essentially are, but I'd say that durability and functionality are the main traits.
