laptop lags a lot

My new VIVOBOOK 16 with Ryzen 5 and rtx 3050 lags in general use. Compared to my R5 2600 and R7 5700x, the experience is usually about waiting 10secs for a lot of things. I don't think this laptop is supposed to run this way. What can I do to boost its performance? its Standard windows 11 home.

Because it's a lagtop 😄

What exactly is lagging, and what's your CPU ?

The 3050M is half the performance of the 5700XT, so no wonder it games slower...

LinkedIn is running like ass. The words appear 20secs after typing. General navigation in file explorer is noticeably stuttery. Not as snappy compared to my dekstop which has a SATA 3 SSD. Websites load slower at times.

Reinstall a clean version of windows without asus bloatware. Simpy download Windows 11 (I guess you use windows 11): https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11

Use a usb drive to make a bootable USB, using media creation tool. Windows licence key should be stored on the PC. Boot from the USB and install windows. You can download drivers for the laptop from Asus' support page. I would also recommend disabling automatic installation of drivers and instead installing them manually.

Please check the version of your laptop, this is just an example.

CPU: Ryzen 5800X3D | Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 Elite V2 | RAM: G.Skill Aegis 2x16gb 3200 @3600mhz | PSU: EVGA SuperNova 750 G3 | Monitor: LG 27GL850-B , Samsung C27HG70 |
GPU: Red Devil RX 7900XT | Sound: Odac + Fiio E09K | Case: Fractal Design R6 TG Blackout |Storage: MP510 960gb and 860 Evo 500gb | Cooling: CPU: Noctua NH-D15 with one fan

FS in Denmark/EU:

Asus Dual GTX 1060 3GB. Used maximum 4 months total. Looks like new. Card never opened. Give me a price.

That or return it as it may actually be defective.

Definitely not normal !! seems Windows is buggy indeed, you should reinstall it as others already advised
