what's wrong with the amd fx 9590?

i am new in pc building.now i want to made a pc and i want to use amd fx 9590.I am not a amd fanboy or intel fanboy.Sometimes i play games bt i am not a gamer.people said that amd 9590 is a badass cpu.Bt i found in some forums that amd fx 9590 is a very good cpu like tech syndicate.pls suggest me what gpu will be good for me.gtx 970 or r9 390? if i buy a amd fx 9590 i can get it only 150 euro.pls suggest me!!

If you are building it brand new, I would aim for something like a i5-6500, and a R9 280X, to max basically all games at 1080p, and get you on the Skylake platform

 

edit: to explain why it's bad, it inefficiently uses the amount of cores it as, so when you game you end up using ~1/2-1/4th of it's potential.

it has a very high power draw, and gets verry hot. You also need a high quality motherboard (wich is hard to come by with and) because of the fiery inferno. Some mobos have even caught fire. Plus it costing around the price of an i5.

The 9590 is essential an overclocked 8350, it runs hot and isn't worth it imo, I'd get an 8350 if going amd, though I'm a gamer so I stick with intel currently.

The 9590 has been described to me as a factory overclocked 8350, which is also a sub-par CPU.

Wait what are you exactly asking?...Is the fx 9590 good?  yes for video editing and gaming purposes but its not so different from the fx 8xxx I believe...

 

I can tell you this....It's not utter crap but it does create more heat and uses alot of power than intel cpus...Also its not much different from the fx 8xxx series from what I believe...There is also a good possibility that you will need an aftermarket cooler instead of the stock

But games like Battlefront it will be right on par with intel. Depending on what games you play intel will prob be the better solution. R9 390 would be my choice.

The 9590 is extremely power hungry, with a TDP of 220W you'll need a substantial cooling solution and expect the room its in to get rather warm after a while, and your power bill will see quite a increase most likely.

The 9590 is also 5 years old and isn't worth is compared to an i5 which you can get for around the same price.

- A stupid high TDP, which limits what motherboards you can use

- Lower single threaded performance in comparison to intel. this is important as games only use a few threads, so its better to have fewer cores, and better single threaded performance for games.

-High heat output because of that stupid high TDP, meaning you cant just get away with any old cooler.

it's not enough. No one ever said that. 8320 will definitely melt boards with 4+1 delivery too. Please edit your post so someone doesn't buy 8320 on a mobo with 4+1 power delivery.

If you want to go AMD wait until Zen comes out and see how they handle. As a fan of Intel, I am interested in seeing what comes of the Zen series. Who knows, if it's considerably stronger and for a fair price I might consider making an AMD second rig. (Intel+Nvidia being my preferred pc platform)

I said some. What I mean is the boards that have like 4+1 power phases (most of them) will have said VRMs melt or combust.
