Would be worth it to see if you can get a cIEM company to do something for you.  They're wonderful as earplugs and headphones.  Work in a noisy office and with my UE 18's in I hear nearly nothing.

Yes, a few times actually...

Once in the hardline water cooling guide (I think that was supposed to be 2 parts but only ended up being 1 because of how much footage was lost lol), and once (or maybe even twice lol...) with the Phonesoap Charger.

like if the editors leave their computers on and go to lunch and a tree falls on a power line or something

I believe that is what the UPS' are designed to do. Make sure, after the 'real power' cut off, you can at least use your PC for a bit, so you an save and turn it off yourself. But they did install a new system to function as a UPS, as opposed to these units (which according to Linus were refurb units and had some issues)
